A barn bathroom is available, but NO SHOWER (unless you wanna use the hose ?). This mini house is $40 plus $10 for each additional sleeper. Apafia Farm is a very different type of boarding facility. We offer a different atmosphere than other riding stables because we are not large and we do not do any type of showing. Our love is natural horsemanship both teaching and training. We do offer a round pen for training and a nice arena. We also have access to riding trails and have a very unique "natural horsemanship playground" to encourage you to have fun with your horse! We do not stall any horses unless they are hurt or injured. We have several subdivided pastures and do a very careful rotation of horses(from pasture to pasture) every couple of weeks to help keep our pastures in great shape for good grass! We offer two types of pasture boarding.

One type of pasture boarding is referred to as "co-op" boarding. With co-op pasture boarding the owners agree to help out with all the farm chores including mowing with a tractor; fertilizing; weed spraying; spreading poop; cleaning out water troughs; helping with rotation of horses; helping with farm projects that are scheduled in advance; taking a day or two for feeding up all the horses on the farm. Co-op boarding is actually fun and you can learn a great deal about taking care of your own place when a owner decides to buy their own land for their horses. Pasture management is very important and detailed.
Cost of this co-op boarding is $60.00 per horse.

The other type of pasture boarding is for the owner who does not have time to join us in the care of the farm/and or does not have time to feed up or join us in the farm activities. You supply the feed; and we agree to feed your horse(s). There are additional fees for worming your horse; giving shots to your horse; holding your horse for the farrier or vet.
