We offer retirement board and will have an opening available in spring 2016.We understand that the older or chronically unsound horse has different needs and that it can be stressful finding the perfect retirement home. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe facility and offering the best quality care possible. Board is $300/ month and includes:

-Free-choice hay and grain as needed (particularly hard keepers may be charged for extra grain)
-Weekly grooming
-Regular deworming (with yearly fecal egg counts performed by our veterinarian to ensure the efficacy of our deworming program)
-Regular professional hoof trims
-Blanket and fly mask/sheet changes
-Small turnout group sizes in well-maintained fields, safe fencing, and multiple checks per day

Beautiful 30 acre private farm in southern Culpeper County (Raccoon Ford), 3 miles south of Commonwealth Park. One of the farm's fields is dedicated to field boarding with 24 hour access to stalls for shelter. It's a 5 acre field with a 3 stall shed row barn. The barn is not fancy, but it's dry in the cold, wet winter and dark and shady with fans in the hot summer. The barn has a feed/tack room and the field has an automatic waterer. Boarders have access to a dressage riding ring, a round pen, and other amenities (wash stall, bathroom, trailer parking) at the farm's main barn. $400 per month for full-care field board. Graywood is a riding barn, located near the tri-county corner of Culpeper, Madison, & Orange! 25 beautiful acres with access to miles of riding trails and an 8-stall barn. The riding ring is 200x120 with stone dust & sand footing and equipped with nice jumps. There is also a small round pen for ground work. Graywood is a family friendly farm that is happy to accommodate riders and horse lovers of all ages and experience levels (group and privet lessons). We are able to do theraputic riding classes as well (private lessons only). We believe in creating a safe and fun environment where everyone is encouraged to be the best they can be.
Owner & Instructor is Denise Lynch. Denise has over 30 years experience teaching, training, and showing. She moved to Madison County 17 years ago and has coached many winning riders over the years.
