Windy Acres Farm is located on North Quaker Hill Road in the heart of the historic Quaker Hill Estate area. This equestrian center is a family run boarding, training and rehabilitation facility for all types of horses and riders. The family rarely hires outside laborers preferring to be solely in charge of the horses in their care. Reimagine Horsemanship offers lesson, rehab, and training board at our quiet, private facility in Poughquag, NY. We specialize in equine rehabilitation and relationship-based horsemanship. We combine liberty work, classical dressage, ranch work, and natural horsemanship to reset the minds and bodies of troubled horses and provide them with a healthy, versatile education.

Our facility is designed to help horses heal, learn, and bond with their human companions. We have a 70-foot enclosed round pen with viewing area, a brand new all weather arena with TravelRight footing, a hunt/obstacle course, and training trails. Our home farm family is a small group of like-minded people interested in building quality relationships with their horses. We only take on a few boarders at a time to keep things quiet and conducive for learning.

Horses live in a social atmosphere and are given quality care based on their individual needs. Along with regularly scheduled sessions, their education is immersed into their lifestyle and daily handling. We collaborate closely with vets, farriers, nutritionists, and physiotherapists to provide horses with whatever they need to establish and maintain their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being.

Our relationship-based horsemanship educational program teaches participants about horse care, herd dynamics, body language, horse whispering, animal communication, biomechanics, and much more.
