Mattalyn Hughes Dressage is based out of Icon Sporthorses, LLC in the West Knoxville, TN area. Icon is the elite facility in the Knoxville area. We currently have several openings for board in October, 2016, as well as limited space for training/sales horses and lesson students.

The facility boasts a 60 stall barn with several grooming and wash bays, an indoor ring with an observation area from lounge which also has a kitchen, outdoor, warm-up/lunging ring, and 5-horse hot walker. Footing in all rings is of the absolute highest quality and perfectly manicured. Turnouts are 4-board, and there is over 60 acres of farm to ride on and explore! Welcome to our facility where "Every Horse Is Loved!" Brandy McDonnell is our C.E.O. and has been training and caring for her Client's horses for over 25 years.

We offer a 150 x 300 Derby field with schooling jumps, plus a 70' x 200' Covered and Lighted Arena. We have a Lighted Wash Area with hot and cold water and Matted 12' x 12' Stalls with ample ventilation, Lighted Barn, Daily Turn-outs, Full Indoor Bathroom, limited use of fridge in office area to help yourself to cold water after your ride! Brandy McDonnell is our Chief Riding Instructor. Brandy has more than 30 years of riding experience. Brandy is a certified "Master Instructor" from the Certified Horsemanship Association, allowing her to certify riders from beginning levels to the highest level of either English or Western style riding. The C.H.A. is one of the top leading certifying organizations for equine instructors. Brandy holds a lifetime membership in the C.H.A. as well as a lifetime membership with the American Quarter Horse Association (A.Q.H.A.).

Our youngest students are as young as 6 years old. We have also had many Seniors that began learning to ride with us, as well as all ages in between. We instruct beginner to advanced riders.
