Carefree Equestrians is a boarding, retirement, and lesson barn located on 60 acres. We offer pasture board or full care stall board. Pastures are 1-3 acres with 12’x24’ shelters, quality round bales, and electrobraid fencing. Oversized 14’x14’ matted stalls are mesh front with Dutch doors to the back. The facility includes a climate controlled tackroom with restroom, washer and dryer, wash stall with hot and cold water. Riding areas include use of the 60 acres of pasture and trails, 75’x200’ lighted and fenced arena, 130’x260’ grass arena, 70’ round pen, obstacle course area. With five stalls, 3 of which are double stalls with large paddocks attached, that are designed for the Texas heat, powerful fans in each stall and natural fly control, your horse is sure to feel at home with us. Daily turnout in paddocks or large pastures with no-climb fences. As well as a wash rack to help keep your horse clean. Personalized care is the standard for all the equines here! We also have pasture boarding available. All pastures have run in sheds and automatic waterers.

We also have an improved turf riding area and a deep sand round pen.

I offer boarding, lessons, and training. I have over 30 years experience w horses and horses are my passion. I live on the premises, and all horses here are monitored and watched closely. I only keep 12-15 horses here, so I can watch them closely. All horses have out time, so they can be horses! I have a 60 ft round pen, arena, wash racks and stocks, big barn, and trails! I keep the horses in small groups to run together so I can watch to make sure which horses get along together. We also have great trails around the barn, and Canyon Lake trails are closeby where we can actually swim the horses!
Training: If you have a horse that needs a good start under saddle, a little more finish, better manners, better headset, de-spooked, etc, please contact me. I use Parelli techniques and do lots of ground work to get them to accept people as leaders! I do round pen work, arena work, ground drive them, and also trail work and strive for a happy, quiet horse that wants to please. I think a horse needs to be de-sensitized to many environments. I also have a lot of experience with endurance riding, and have an excellent completion record and a lot of knowledge to share about how to successfully get through an endurance ride!
