Hill Winds Farm is family owned horse farm in a picturesque setting of Shelbyville, Kentucky close to Louisville off the I-64. 3 separate paddocks. 3 run-in sheds, roundpen, indoor riding arena, 2 huge front pastures & back pasture, 9 stalls plus 2 brood mare stalls. Training available upon request.

Partial Care Boarding: $300 per month/horse

-Horse may be turned out by owner at a time of their choosing.

Are you looking for a more natural self-care boarding situation for your horse, but not full pasture board? We are a small horse boarding farm on a scenic 20-acre property in the Fern Creek/Floyds Fork area in Louisville. All horses have access to stalls in a barn that open onto state-of-the-art dry-lots. Daily turn out in grass paddocks alone or with other horses as weather, pasture condition and the horse's needs allow. The dry-lots allow horses to be outdoors as much as they want and be more sociable and mobile rather than standing in stalls most of the time. Stalls are part of either of two larger barns and have rubber mats and electricity for fans in summer and heated buckets in winter. There is storage for tack, feed, hay in both barns and space for trailer parking.

120' x 60' outdoor arena, round pen, trail obstacles for training and a trail around the fields and through woodlands on the property. We work cooperatively with horse owners for happy, healthy horses and provide an alternative for owners who prefer that their horses are not confined to a stall most of the time. We use fly predators and slow-feeder hay nets. We currently have an opening at the small barn for one horse. We are a small customized elite boarding facility for show or retired horses. Owner is a licensed Veterinary Technician and practitioner for Magna Wave (PEMF) who lives on the property and is the primary care taker. The farm offers 12x12 matted stalls, fans, fly control, premium hay, premium grain, grooming stall, heated wash rack, 80x180 arena, four board fences and lots of TLC.
