Our philosophy. Hope and Joy Farms is a full service farm dedicated to the horse and rider. The farm was born when our family decided to live closer to God’s creations. We believe each day is a gift and we promise to care for your horses as if they were our own. Our staff is trained in equine first aid and our loving care for your horses will be unmatched. We believe the horse and its relationship with the rider is unique and worth developing. So if you are having trouble trailering your horse, or just want him better prepared for a trail ride, we offer our help. With patience and proper training, the horse and rider can learn from each other.

Our farm. Hope and Joy Farms is nestled in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee. This twenty-eight acre pastoral setting is a fully functional farm and holds opportunity for both retreat and adventure. With wooded trails and pasture riding available, it is a destination for horse and owner alike to enjoy the scenic landscape. A two acre multi-use pond with a gazebo and fire pit create a place to gather after a day of riding.

Located between Nashville and Chattanooga, Hope and Joy Farms offers a country escape. Situated just outside the small town of Woodbury, it is convenient yet removed from city life. Nearby you will find the Drive-in Movie Theater, Center Hill Lake, and Short Mountain, a favorite trail riding destination for local horse lovers with over 400 acres for exploration and fun.

Horse boarding and training

The boarding facility at Hidden Hollow offers two barns, three sand riding arenas with lights, turn out paddocks, hot walker, indoor heated wash rack, large de-humidified tack rooms, fully insulated barn, automatic stall lights on timer. Barns are full board. Pasture boarding and stall boarding available now.

Hidden Hollow Farm has produced several 4-H state champions, TQHA state high point champions, Quarter Horse Congress top ten, AQHYA World Show top ten finishers, and a Select AQHA Reserve World Champion riders. Carol Hodge has been teaching lessons at Hidden Hollow for over 12 years, where she continues to train students in the Hunter, Over Fences, and All Around disciplines.
