New horse doesn't actually give contact info out when you use the "shop around" option, so unfortunately it's impossible for me to get back to you with that route! I appreciate it, and look forward to hearing from you. Wendy Lynn Arabians offers riding lessons, horse training, camps, and birthday parties in North Scottsdale. Instruction is available in all disciplines including saddleseat, hunter, and western pleasure, showmanship, equitation, and show hack. All levels are welcome, including beginners, as well as all ages of riders from 5 yrs and up. Everyone who rides is required to sign a liability waiver, and all minors are required to wear an approved riding helmet. Helmets will be provided initially if you do not have your own. Long pants are required, jeans are fine, and some sort of boot with a heel must be worn to ride. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or you will be charged. If you have another commitment you know about ahead of time we usually just find another riding time that week so that varying schedules can be accommodated.

Lessons are private, hour long, and $40 each. In that lesson you learn how to lead, groom, and tack your horse as well as ride. Riding time is usually 30-45 minutes. Tons of individual attention is given on experienced, safe, and quality school horses. Friends and family members are welcome to stay and watch lessons as long as children are under supervision.

During the summer and school breaks kid's horse camp is also available. Camp is typically 4 hours long in the morning and $75 a day. During camp kids ride, do crafts, and play games. There is also additional time to cover things not normally in a regular lesson like clipping, bathing, showmanship, cleaning tack, and educational activities such as breeds, colors, and parts of the horse.

Birthday parties are offered for groups of up to 8 kids, 5 yrs and up. They include hands on grooming, feeding the horses treats, and a pony ride for all. Parties can be tailored for your individual needs.

Wendy Lynn Arabians is located at Winter Rose Equestrian at 6740 E. Jomax Rd in Scottsdale, AZ. The owner lives on site and the property is fully fenced and gated. There are 3 arenas that are dragged and watered 2 times a day, 2 barns with automatic waterers and misters, turn outs, full service boarding, a track, a bull pen, and a trail course. My goal is to teach both children and adults to ride to their best ability while having fun learning. The horses are small and size appropriate. I have ponies for young children, starting at 2 years of age and small horses for people wanting to learn to ride or who have fear issues they would like to overcome.. Children must wear helmets.

My goal is to teach children and adults to learn how to ride with confidence and skill. The first criteria is everything is done in the safest manner possible for both student and horse.
Everyone learns from the ground up and at their own speed. We have lots of fun things for children to do such as pony camps, games, and special events. Trail riding for adults. The horses are size appropriate ranging from Shetland ponies up to 14'3" You can bring your horse if you would like to work with him. We will take students as young as 2 and you are never too old.

If you are an adult and want to learn to ride for the first time, we'd be happy to teach you. If you rode years ago and want to ride again but would like to renew your skills, we will help you. If you have encountered some fear because of an accident but want to work through it and get back on your horse, we can get that done.

I have over 30 years experience in training both horses and people with a multitude of references. Many of our riders have gone on to big competitions. I can help you with almost any horse skill or problem.

We offer horseback riding lessons from beginner (even a never-seen-a-horse-in-real-life-beginner) through intermediate. Your aspiring cowboy or cowgirl will learn horsemanship from the ground up - they'll learn how to care for, interact and bond with the horse before ever getting in a saddle. Once in the saddle, safety will be emphasized, but fun will be had! Lessons are taught on our farm, with our horses and our equipment.
