I have been riding horses since the age of eight years old.Also showing them as a teen.I wanted to further my education to become a true professional in the horse industry. Certification at Meredith Manor was key. I have also been fortunate to work/ride- hands on. With some of our nations greatest trainers. Competing with Reining horses on a a national level.
I consistently strive to seek more knowledge & information "Based on Fact" of this majestic animal! It never gets old. Yet,I truly feel my greatest teacher of all is THE HORSE.
My lessons come from each horse daily. Over the many years of my career. I have worked hard to understand their language. Which is very different from ours. In return, I have learned how to listen to them, yet remain the Leader. They dont mind,as long as you Earn it!

At PLEM we only have one or two spots available to a child or adult with previous or current riding experience and if they are interested in showing in local (inexpensive) shows in our area it is a plus! Our riding lessons include English on the flat (including dressage-English or Western) and hunter/jumper. This includes teaching proper horse handling, grooming, tacking, barn maintenance, equine anatomy and vocabulary, as well as equine vet and health care. Teaching proper horsemanship not only prepares our students for horse ownership, but also teaches the life lessons of hard work, responsibility and the importance of caring for animals. We train riders and horses to work together so they have fun and are safe. Fun and Safety are our goals. We also have several lease or partial lease options available depending on experience and riding preference.

We strongly believe in teaching our students how to safely, effectively, and clearly communicate with their horses in the saddle and on the ground, and to take responsibility for the horses they ride, treating them with kindness, consideration, and respect.

In the saddle, students focus on developing balance and using their weight ("seat") to communicate with the horse. Students use the escalation of aids to obtain the softest response from their horse with the least amount of pressure.
