Beautiful facility, open to Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation riders. We compete from GHJA to USEF AA.
Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I emphasize the importance of understanding the reasoning behind techniques, rather than just instructing what to do. By explaining the "why" and the expected outcomes, I help riders piece together their skills more effectively. I ensure that neither my riders nor their horses are rushed or pushed beyond their limits. Advancement occurs when they are mentally and physically prepared, fostering a supportive and progressive learning environment.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.

Brooke began her equestrian journey at the age of seven; studying both english and western disciplines. Our horseback riding program offers your child a safe and exciting entry into the wonderful world of horses! We are location in the Old Thompson Mill Rd. - Hamilton Mill area on a family oriented private farm in Buford. We have two lighted arenas, one with an attached round pen. Safety will be a priority and incorporated into all the lessons. We provide helmets and use break away stirrups. Just Us Horsin' Around uses Equine Theraplay which is a form of play whereas horses are used to assist in social development. Our horsemanship instruction includes proper riding techniques, understanding horse behavior, horse safety, horse care, tacking up the horse, feeding, stall maintenance, and much more.

We offer private lessons for $40.00 per person/per hour.
Four lessons package: $140.00 per person (when purchased and scheduled within 30 days.

We are geared towards the beginner to intermediate level western rider, and our students learn at their own pace. This ensures that they gain confidence right from the start. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. Shannon Loven-Thompson has over 20 years experience teaching children and training ponies for show and pleasure. Currently, Shannon has a waiting list for new students starting as young as 4 years of age. Our ponies have years of experience teaching beginners and competing at horse shows of all kinds. Students compete regularly and are often among the show leaders. Our students enjoy consistent competition in Eventing, Dressage, State 4-H Horse Shows, Pony Club Championships, GDCTA events, and local hunter shows.
