I teach basic horseback riding, safety and horsemanship with good solid horse skills, along with horse care for those with the goal of horse ownership. My goal is for my students to learn the proper way to behave around horses, how to care for them, how to ride and why things are done they way they are; and to become accomplished, competent and independent trail riders. My lessons are generally one on one private lessons, although I do have a couple group lesson with a few of the more advanced students. I teach ages 6 through adult and I have MANY referrals should you want to talk with past or present students. I have gaited and non gaited horses. I teach those who have never seen a horse in person to those who have been hurt or lost their confidence and need confidence recovery (referral for this too!) Lesson Options and Pricing:

Individual Lessons - $50 per hour: Our one-on-one lessons are designed to provide personalized instruction to riders who prefer
individual attention. During these lessons, our experienced instructors will work closely with you to focus on your specific goals
and help you improve your riding technique.

Group Lessons (4 or more persons) - $35 per person per hour: If you prefer a social and collaborative learning environment, our
group lessons are perfect for you. These lessons are conducted in a small group setting of four or more riders, allowing for peer
interaction and learning from one another, while still receiving individualized instruction from our skilled instructors.

Our Lessons Include:
Instruction on basic horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and handling
Riding techniques, including proper positioning, balance, and control
Progressive skill development based on your individual level of experience
Opportunity to ride well-trained horses suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels
Safety guidelines and supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable riding experience

Payment for lessons can be made in cash or through electronic payment methods. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for

I teach western riding lessons for ages 4 through adult. I have a 15 year record of safety and success with hundreds of riders both for recreation and competition. I own 17 horses and have my students learn to ride as many of them as possible so that they become excellent riders with many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. Our farm trains for and holds competitive trail riding competitions for those who wish to compete. We have miles of trails and many areas to ride. I teach 5 days a week, but I have a staff of instructors that allow us to teach 7 days a week. One thing that sets us apart from other farms is that we teach the rider the best control and balance by not using stirrups until the rider is at an advanced level. This teaches the rider to grip with his/her body and to become one with the horse when moving through the various gaits. We also teach the rider to use gentle aids that do not require much force and that foster building relationships with the horses. We teach low jumping for western riding as well for those who wish to jump obstacles out on the trail. My staff and I teach with patience and allow riders to learn at their own pace. Devon Olivier is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia. She rode on the eventing team while attending college. She was on the 2016 USEA collegiate national championship team. She won the Open Prelim division at FENCE horse trials on 4-17-17 on her horse Karisma. She won the Open Prelim division at Paradise Farms on 2-17-17. Devon has won the individual Gold in the intercollegiate challenge at Chattahoochee Hills horse trials twice while on the UGA eventing team. Devon has trained numerous Off the Track Thoroughbreds and has gone to multiple national competitions with her horses. Devon has been a working student for Michael and Sharon Poulin (Bronze Medal at the Barcelona Olympics in dressage). While there she worked on getting correct and effective dressage training under her belt. She then worked for Mollie Zobel in South Carolina who was an upper level event trainer. Devon has worked with or taken lessons with Doug Payne, Elly Schobel, Michael Poulin, Sharon Poulin, Gwen Poulin. She has taken clinics with Werner Geven, Dom Schramm, Kyle Carter, Leslie Law, Jon Holling just to name a few. Devon offers lessons in dressage, jumpers and eventing. Just Us Horsin' Around uses Equine Theraplay which is a form of play whereas horses are used to assist in social development. Our horsemanship instruction includes proper riding techniques, understanding horse behavior, horse safety, horse care, tacking up the horse, feeding, stall maintenance, and much more.

We offer private lessons for $40.00 per person/per hour.
Four lessons package: $140.00 per person (when purchased and scheduled within 30 days.
Ten lessons package: $300.00 per person (when purchased and scheduled within 45 days.

We are geared towards the beginner to intermediate level western rider, and our students learn at their own pace. This ensures that they gain confidence right from the start. Our horse playground is an obstacle course which allows riders who enroll in our riding program to practice techniques required to go out on the trail.
