Little D Farms is a family oriented farm focused on natural horsemanship and respect for your equine partner. We teach all ages from beginners to intermediate riders, we love children and adults starting out or coming back to the equine world. We focus on building a relationship with your horse, communication, and a balanced riding seat that will stay with a rider their entire life. We teach you about horses from the ground up including; health care, grooming, and tacking. However your lesson time starts from the time you are in the saddle. We specialize in speed events (cloverleaf barrels, texas barrels, arena race, cones, and pole bending) and provide trailering to local shows and JR Rodeo. Meadow Wood Farm's lesson program welcomes all levels and ages of riders from the beginner to the advanced, whether you have your own pony/horse or ride one of ours. We have a variety of fabulous lesson ponies and horses to suit the many different levels of riders. At Meadow Wood, we feel that having safe, suitable lesson ponies/horses is the key to establishing a good and confident rider.

We teach lessons Monday through Friday and offer 30 minute private lessons, 45 minute semi-private lessons and 1 hour group lessons. We offer our lessons in monthly packages and always strive to customize your lesson schedule to fit in with your busy, daily life. Special times are also available for younger children, home-schoolers, and adults. We offer special lesson packages and prices for boarders. We welcome haul-in students as well.

Dressage training – intro through FEI levels, using a classical dressage approach. – show prep and coaching also available.

Foundation building for riders of all disciplines (western, huntseat, gaited, etc), using natural horsemanship and classical dressage principles. We focus on:

• Developing an independent seat and correct use of aids
• Learning timing and feel
• Establishing leadership
• Creating lightness
• Encouraging your horse’s athleticism
• Fostering a true partnership between horse and rider

Especially for beginners and new horse owners, we offer lessons in complete horsemanship – including ground work, fitting of tack, horse health care and management, and more.

A horse trainer and riding instructor for over 40 years, Sandi has extensive experience working with a variety of challenges and unique situations, including:

• Adult beginner riders
• Riders returning after a long break
• Riders dealing with fear and confidence issues
• Horses with a history of abuse and mishandling
• Horses with limited, incomplete, or incorrect training
• Horses of many different breeds and temperaments

Luella Stables offers boarding, lessons for the beginner and intermediate rider and trail riding for all ages and requires no prior experience to participate. Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday. We specialize in first time riders and molding each student into all around equestrians. Students experience grooming, saddling, feeding, bathing and more about the overall experience of owning a horse. Students are welcome at the age of 4 and 5 but they are truly capable of gaining the most at ages 6 and up.
