Aloha! At Sea Horse Training, L.L.C., we are fully insured, licensed, and hold current A.R.I.A. Hunt Seat and Recreational Riding Professional Instructor Certificates. One of only a few certified instructors in the whole state. Our head instructor, Jessica Avila-Franco is a USEF Hunter/Jumper foundation focused Instructor that was born and raised in Washington, DC. She has competed and trained up and down the East Coast, and IHSA while in college. Jessica has over a decade+ of just professional teaching experience, and over 2+ decades of showing, coaching, and training experience on the local, "A" rated, and National levels.
Our focus is on safety first, but we always encourage having fun! We currently offer only Private English Hunt Seat horse back riding lessons, that way our students receive our full expert attention. Emphasis on Equitation and confidence building from day one, we also have a show team and offer on site show coaching.
Several well schooled horses and ponies available for lessons. Schooling helmets and equipment are included. Riders are asked to buy paddock boots and wear long pants. No open toe shoes please! We are also planning on hosting several clinics with Top Trainers and Clinicians and hosting several horse shows, both English and Western throughout the year, so friend us on Facebook! Ride the Rainbow on Kauai with Esprit De Corps Riding Academy. We offer true eco-tours. Small group and private horseback trail rides with trotting and cantering in a lush forest reserve near Kapaa. Beginner trail rides too. All trail rides start with a mini lesson in the arena to insure safety and fun, and then we ride into the mountains to see the interior of the island. Riding boots and helmets are provided. English and Western lessons in the arena for ages 6 and up can include introduction to Healing Touch for Animals, games on horseback, dressage and jumping, or personal growth through horse interaction. As part of our mission, Equine 808 Horse Rescue will host Equine Educational programs for children and adults who are interested in owning or adopting a horse one day. Horse husbandry, proper horsemanship, management and control. Educational Field Trips, YMCA, Girl/Boy scouts are welcome for educational merit badges, etc. These programs are a fund raising effort to Help us, Help the Horses.
