E Komo Mai Sport Horses is a small specialty equestrian ranch and home to Interactive Horsemanship™, which promotes a whole horse/whole rider approach to equine sciences. Our goal is understanding the nature of the horse, and the horse's role and needs in today's world. We strive to help our participants to become true horsemen, to create a fruitful and safe relationship with their equine companions in whatever equine venue they choose to pursue. We incorporate round pen work and equine behavior and psychology and proprioception principles into our natural horsemanship horse and rider sessions.

E Komo Mai Sport Horses is located in the Pacific in the town of Hawi/Kapa'au within the district of North Kohala on the Big Island of Hawai'i in the USA where a tropical setting of lush vegetation surrounding the house and yard is combined with 30 acres of rolling ranch pastures. The facility includes half an acre under roof with a large arena, a round pen, and a tack room. Outdoors are paddocks and pastures with natural cross-country obstacles, and a stall for use for mares with foals or lay-ups.

E Komo Mai Sport Horses offers boarding, covered arena, training, lessons, clinics, internships, international student exchanges, breeding services. Emphasis on equine behavior and psychology, all-around horsemanship, proprioception, dressage, eventing, jumping, and barefoot trimming. Boarding is available for horses at all stages of life and training, which includes foals, weanlings, yearlings, young horses, working horses, broodmares, and retired horses. Nancy Steinecke has been instructing and training for more than 30 years. Nancy holds a degree from the University of Texas at Arlington (where she was a member of the Rodeo Team and competed in barrel racing) with graduate studies from the University of Hawai'i, and Nancy taught at Middle School, High School, and University levels before turning to a full-time profession in Equine Sciences. Nancy currently holds United States Equestrian Federation Licenses as a Dressage Judge and as a Dressage Technical Delegate since 1981. From 1981 through 2008 Nancy also held USEF Licenses as a Judge and as a Technical Delegate in Eventing, and throughout the 1980s Nancy held USEF Licenses as a Judge and as a Steward in Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation.

Nancy and her students have competed successfully in a variety of venues, including Dressage through Prix St. Georges, Eventing through Advanced, Hunter, Jumper, and Western, garnering many awards and championships throughout the years. Nancy and Trey Pierce, her husband and co-director of E Komo Mai Sport Horses, have also played Low Goal Polo, winning the Mauna Kea Polo Club Low Goal Tournament in 1988, and, though no longer playing competitive polo, E Komo Mai horses and riders still enjoy the occasional stick and ball session. Today the main focus of the ranch remains centered on Interactive Horsemanship™ which emphasizes natural horsemanship and horse stewardship.

Lessons and training are available both with E Komo Mai Sport Horses school horses and with owners' own horses. E Komo Mai Sport Horses also provides custom clinics and seminars in equine behavior and natural horsemanship both at the Center and abroad.
