You don't need to own a horse to enjoy riding. Nayborhood Pony Farm has been a teaching barn for over 41 years. Our students have successfully learned to ride in a safe, fun environment. Students from age 3 to mature adults are welcome. Lessons are taught in small groups or individuals with weekday semester packages available. Very young children are taught one on one with lessons scheduled late morning and early afternoons with an instructor who specializes in young children. A large variety of excellent schooling horses and both western and English. Riders start with a 'secure seat' method of riding that helps the student develop balance, strength and confidence.
Horse leases are sometimes available and can include horse 4H for youth students. We also have a few select sale horses that are marketed through our barn. HASKELL RIDING ACADEMY is located in Bloomington, UT. "Shauna" provides professional instruction from 5 yrs of age and older to Adults (or the young at heart), and also special needs individuals. She has been instructing students for over 35 years in all disciplines from the leisure trail rider to the top show competitor.
She has bred, trained and shown Arabians most of her life with many Class A, Regional and National Awards. Shauna holds a U.S. National Competitive Trail Top Ten Title and now shows Quarter and Paint horses and devotes her time and efforts to instruct her wonderful students in all disciplines from Western, English, Dressage, Equitation, Showmanship and Horsemanship classes. Most of her students start out just learning horsemanship and equitation skills and move on to the show ring. She also provides instruction with Rodeo Queen coaching/training/equitation.
Shauna is Certified 2nd Level EAGALA (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) and a Certified Special Olympics Equestrian Coach. References upon request. Come and watch her students ride at any time. We are located out of Keystone Equestrian Park in Bluffdale which boasts a large indoor arena and a beautiful outdoor arena as well as access to trail. Excellent stall and paddock boarding is available at this premier facility.

I do travel all over Utah and Salt Lake Counties to teach, however discounts are available for those who travel in or board at our facility.

Sunspring Ranch offers hunter/jumper english riding instruction and also basic western riding and pleasure on our horses and ponies - or yours. Children ages 6 and up including adults will learn the essentials needed for all types of horsemanship. In these lessons you don’t just learn the skill of riding but also learn what it takes to be a good horseman/woman. A classical centered seat will give you the balance and control for all types of riding. This training gives a solid foundation for dressage, jumping, barrel racing, reining, etc. Lessons make for a great after school activity and last up to 1½ hours! I have been riding for 13 years and training my own horses and competing successfully on them. I have been helping people learn how to better themselves in many events and taught lessons for a year until I returned back to school. I currently compete in many events consisting of reining, cutting, barrels, poles, western pleasure, trail, 4H, and showmanship. I take pride in my riding and have been told by many that I have a lot talent in what I do. I would like to take the oppertunity to teach you or your child how to ride and care for a horse and ultimately get you or your child horse and show ready.
