The Windsong Lesson Program is dedicated to teaching children and adults to ride in the English disipline, essential horsemanship style with skills & safety. Lessons are private given by instructor Wendy Flygare with over 30 years of experience. Wendy is especially good with kids from ages 7-12. Adults are welcome as well. Safe lessons. All aspects of horsemanship are covered during each lesson.
This program builds self-esteem & confidence & encourages the development of independent thinking & problem solving skills.

Foundation before specialization. Relationship based Horsemanship

Instructing horse enthusiasts to become conscientious thoughtful horse owners.
Teaching from the beginning. Safety, how horses think and what are they feeling is SUPER important to me. I want to help my students create a calm responsive partner in their horse in what ever discipline they choose.
Keeping the horse's mind and body relaxed is a high priority for me… not to say I won’t add pressure… I will… I just want to present it in a way not to overwhelm and blow up either the horse or student.
Keeping all that in mind this is what I go over in the beginner lessons:
Approaching horses, haltering , leading, grooming, minor vet care, health, nutrition, saddling, bridling, rein handling,
Leg cues, balance and equitation. I have access to arena and trails.
Students are started with a series of undetermined lessons on the ground first and foremost. As a student progresses in their understanding and response time they are moved into mounted education.

I also offer problem solving, trailer loading and obstacle clinics.
I have horses, if you don’t have your own. 150 lbs max weight of person to ride.
