Horseback Riding in Woodstock, Maryland (Howard County)

Qualified Instructor that will travel to you or you can ride at my facility using the school horses provided in the Poolesville/Montgomery County MD area. I specialize in finding your perfect seat for a comfortable and correct ride. My background is in hunt seat equitation on the flat and over fences, as well as training level dressage. I have been a rider most of my life, attended and graduated from Southern Seminary College in VA and rode on the intercollegiate open equestrian team under JT Tallon - courses included stable management, hunt seat equitation, equine biology. Currently, I personally ride only dressage but continue to teach hunt seat and training level dressage. I am 44 years old and have a lot of experience to help you feel comfortable with your horse on the ground and under tack. I believe in building a solid relationship with your horse and teaching horse care as well as horseback riding. I teach private lessons for $60 per hour and semi private lessons for $50 per hour. Feelgood Farm is now accepting new clients of all levels and goals. We are a show facility specializing in hunter/jumper training. We offer riding lessons to students ages 4 and up for our lesson program. We offer support, supervision, career management and a fun learning environment. Whether at our farm or at competitions locally or on the circuit, we aim to provide personalized attention to your goals and dreams.
  We strive to pass our experiences and other valuable information on to our students in a way that is both fun and challenging, while emphasizing safety and kindness to the horses.
Here you can learn the ins and outs of horses both on the ground and in the saddle!
We do not require formal riding attire but ask that the student wears long pants and closed-toe shoes with a short heel. We have riding helmets to lend to you initially to minimize your expenses while you are giving this exciting sport a try.
