Catskill equestrian center is a complete equine facility located at the Bailiwick animal park in Catskill, NY. 

We offer boarding, riding lessons, summer riding camp, special events, shows, clinics, horses for sale & lease

Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Over Fences, Basic Riding, Western Riding, and Trail Riding (non-competitive).

Our focus in our riding lessons, is on teaching our students to be confident, safe, and comfortable around horses and to help them to push their limits in a safe and structured way, so that they may never stop learning. Owner and Trainer/ Instructor Natalie Bellairs has been riding for over 15 years and had been training professionally for the last 9 years, some of her training horses and students have gone on to compete in paint horse worlds, and some are up and coming even in just their local and regional competitions.
All students learn to groom and tack their own horses as part of the lesson. They also either brush or bathe their horse after the lesson as the weather permits.
As each student progresses the lessons start to focus on the required skills needed to compete in there desired discipline. At Clef Tree Farm we travel to schooling shows throughout the show season.
Students with the required knowledge and skills are encouraged to participate. Student participation at shows is at the discretion of their trainer.
A students abilities are key to a safe and enjoyable experience. Riding begins with each student learning proper balance, position and use of aids, or how the body is used as a means of asking the horse to move.
Students progress according to their abilities and begin trotting or cantering only when they have achieved the skills necessary to keep themselves properly balanced and the horse reasonably comfortable.... See More

I am an Irish intrernational showjumping rider and a farrier in my spare time.To be succesfull in any equestrian sphere correct flatwork is the key.I have 25 years of experience .I am currently based in saugerties new york.

Dressage & Jumping for children and adults. Trailer-in or ride one of our 13 wonderful academy horses suitable for every abilty level. Amy von Scholz, owner and Head Trainer is an active local Dressage judge and USDF L/distinction. She has been riding for over 30 years and has worked with some of the best trainers, including olympians as well as many grand prix riders in dressage, jumpers, combined training, equitation, hunters and graduated from Centenary College, one of the top equine schools, with a BA. She is comfortable teaching all levels and has the patience to deal with children and beginners plus the eye to help the more advanced riders. We have reasoable prices and a positive approach. We horse show with our competitive riders and offer leases and sales, clinics and workshops for the more serious riders. Riding lessons and training in dressage, hunters, and jumpers. I use a natural approach to training that is kept within the means of the horse and/or rider's abilities at the time. I look to create relaxed, confident athletes who are comfortable with the task at hand. Sometimes this takes going back a few steps to re-do some basics, other times it takes pushing beyond your "limits". A solid basic foundation is the key to success for both horse and rider.
