Located in the Napa Valley area. I am 26 years old and have been training horses and people for the last 14 years. I have professionally trained cutting, reining cow horses, barrel horses, started colts and worked with problem horses . I am a money earner in NCHA, NRCHA, NRHA. My training program specializes in all aspects of western riding with an emphasis on cutting, reining and starting colts. I work with all levels of riding and all ages. I'm currently taking on NEW clients in the gold country area. I offer lessons, horsemanship under saddle and on the flat, training, starting, ground training, and handler/owner/rider horsemanship training clinics as well as exercising, and equine management. Prices range from $10-$40 depending on the service and I offer discounts or group lessons and boarding barns! I am a mobile trainer but am working on getting our insurance set up for our home farm to start taking on, on site clients as well!

I offer a unique approach with students focusing on balance, communication, light and confident riding, in a stress free manner. My training program is very simular, I focus on the horse and owner/handler/rider as a team and while I am working with the horse often times 101 I ALWAYS include a short lesson at the end where the owner/handler/trainer is able to learn my meathods inabling a better relationship between them and the horse. All throught the training sessions I take the time to carefully explain why I'm doing what I am and how it's effecting the horse. I use a method of my own and a blended method of regular and natural horsemanship.

New Zealander Marguerite Barrier works with all skill levels, from beginning through advanced, and will take all ages of riders, from four year olds through adult. Marguerite specializes in introducing mature adults with no riding experience to horsemanship in an organized and safe fashion. She welcomes any student who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in the hunter/jumper and general equitation disciplines.

Marguerite offers training and lessons on a beautiful 20 acre ranch in Briones, California, just minutes from Highways 24 and 80 in the Bay Area.

The facility offers

* a large outdoor jumping arena,
* indoor arena,

* turn-out pasture for daily turn-outs,

Lesson horses available for all skill levels. Horses are also available for sale or lease.

Training is $350 per month, which includes lessons; horse board is $300 per month in pasture, stalls are $500 - $600 per month. If your horse is not in training, group lessons are $50 per hour; private lessons are $50 per half hour, $100 per hour.
