Classical Dressage Training and Trick training based on natural methods.
Maxi Sulamith Moon is a former german FEI rider and has been producing and training several horses for artistic shows aswell for competitions. Over the last 10 years she has been the artistic creator for several horseshow events including the International Show jumping event opening in Brussels and several other shows across Europe and for the Theatre Equestre de Wattrelos.
The lessons are based on working on the connection between horse and rider and improve half pass, extended trot, flying changes, piaffe and passage.

I have always loved horses with a passion and have been riding, training and showing horses for over 30 years and I continue to this day to be in awe of their majesty, beauty, grace and forgiveness of the human race.

I truly believe that you have to look at the horse – human relationship as a whole picture to find out what is and is not working and once behavior patterns in the horse – human relationship - whether physical or emotional are identified I can then establish a plan to change these behaviors and develop a positive, healthy and fulfilling relationship for both horse and human.

Foundation before specialization. Relationship based Horsemanship

Instructing horse enthusiasts to become conscientious thoughtful horse owners.
Teaching from the beginning. Safety, how horses think and what are they feeling is SUPER important to me. I want to help my students create a calm responsive partner in their horse in what ever discipline they choose.
Keeping the horse's mind and body relaxed is a high priority for me… not to say I won’t add pressure… I will… I just want to present it in a way not to overwhelm and blow up either the horse or student.
Keeping all that in mind this is what I go over in the beginner lessons:
Approaching horses, haltering , leading, grooming, minor vet care, health, nutrition, saddling, bridling, rein handling,
Leg cues, balance and equitation. I have access to arena and trails.
Students are started with a series of undetermined lessons on the ground first and foremost. As a student progresses in their understanding and response time they are moved into mounted education.

I also offer problem solving, trailer loading and obstacle clinics.
I have horses, if you don’t have your own. 150 lbs max weight of person to ride.

Gateway Farm is primarily a Dressage and Eventing barn although we welcome all riding disciplines at our facility. Our facility includes a main barn with oversized box stalls and box stalls with paddocks, a mare and foaling barn with video monitoring, small and large individual pastures, and open group pastures with shelters.  We have separate pastures for weanling foals, yearlings, mares and geldings, and retirees.  We maintain a large outdoor arena with sand footing and a complete set of jumps, a covered arena with combination Nike/sand footing, lights, and mirrors, a dressage arena, a large round pen, and a cross-country course with a gallop track.  Private, semi-private and group lessons on your own horse or one of our well trained lesson horses are offered, and we are also affiliated with the Liberty Oaks Pony Club.  There is easy access to trails....
