Since 1949, Kelsey Farm has been teaching young people to ride. Our students benefit from year-round professional trainers, a small teacher/student ratio and show quality ponies and horses. We offer lessons, summer camp, boarding, and a shared lease program for those who wish to ride three days a week with the option to horse show. Whether you ride with us every day or once a week, you will be part of the Kelsey Farm family.

At Kelsey Farm, we offer a safe space for kids to compete, learn, play, get dirty and find their best selves. Our farm is a world apart from the pressure and fast-pace of present day life. We are a haven of acceptance, mutual respect, dedication to the sport of horseback riding.

Trainer Lisa Sherman has been with Kelsey Farm since 1998. Under her leadership, we have had the winner of the CHJA Childrens Medal Finals and many championships at local and AAA rated horse shows, including the PHA Finals, Hampton Classic, Lake Placid and the Vermont summer series. She has won both the PHA High Points Trainer Award and the Greenwich Horse Show High Points Trainer Award, and has overseen the Greenwich Pony Club's consistent 1st and 2nd placing at regional rallies through the years. She has served both on the board of the National Professional Horsemen's Association and as the Corresponding Secretary of the local chapter of the FWPHA for ten years.

Beloved by our students, trainer Kate Bykowski has been with us since 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Animal Science with an Equine specialization and is British Horse Society (BHS) certified through Level II. Crossroad Farm Riding Academy is a Jumper barn located in Greenwich, CT, just minutes away from the Merritt Parkway.

We offer private and group riding lessons, jumpers training, showing, leases & sales, boarding, and private clinics.

Our students come from all over the world to participate in local and national shows on our horses, with trainer and professional show jumper Patricio Milinik.

I help bridge the communication gap between a human and horse, utilizing more natural ways and being aware of the human emotion and horse to bring the two of you on the same page.

I can assist you, be it on the improvement of your relationship with your horse , mounted or ground. My program is made to aid you in all disciplines or simply a beginning of a strong foundation for horse, rider, or both.

Specializing in starting young horses, problem/troubled horses, ground work, and gaining a strong seat.

*Lessons/training at your barn: $50/hr

Private riding lessons offered, tailored specifically to the needs of the client.
Focus: Dressage and combined training, assisting riders in the training and conditioning
of their horse. Lunge lessons are used to develop a strong independent
seat in the rider and to improve riders posture and body alignment as to more
