Our students range from 3 years old to retired adults looking to get back into riding or just learning for the first time. We have students competing in Western Pleasure, Ranch Riding, Speed Events, English Pleasure, Hunt Seat, Hunter Hack, Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, as well as Horsemanship, Showmanship, and Halter.

Lessons are on our horses or yours, you are welcome to visit and watch a lesson or we can put you in contact with one of our students or parents as a reference. We have been teaching lessons in Clinton, Oak Ridge and Knoxville for years and have 20+ years in competing and teaching. Current member in good standing of the US Equestrian Federation, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the US Dressage Federation, we are fully insured and work hard to provide a safe and fun learning environment.

We also offer finish work training for your horse and advice and consultation if you are thinking about buying a horse.

RiverTenn is proud to Welcome Denise Cooper to it's training and lesson programs. Denise comes to us with over 30 years of Riding, Training, Showing and Clinic experience. Denise trained and has shown her Dressage Morgan horse Arkomia Tall Tales, to championships across three states. She has trained and cliniced with the Dressage "GREATS" such as Jeff Moore, Liz Searle, and Willy Arts. Denise is a competitor who understands what the horse needs, what the rider must do, and how to make both into winning pairs. Denise brings with her the philosophy of kindness, patience and reward for both horse and rider. She will often be heard saying to her students " Everytime you ride, make the horse yours. Be his partner, listen to each other and speak to each other."
Denise has shown and trained over 100 horses in Dressage, Hunt Seat and Western diciplines. That experience and dedication has earned her.
