Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn to ride, or an experienced rider who wants to improve your skills, there is a place for you at our Riding School! We teach English and Western to our students, who range in age from 4 to Mature. Group and private sessions are available.
Students are split into small riding groups based on their ability and previous riding experience. Our goal is to build each rider’s skills and confidence enabling them to ride safely and correctly. Theory is an essential plank of our curriculum. The ‘whys’ of riding, training, and horse behavior, are equally important to the ‘hows’. Small group environment allows our instructors to offer individualized attention and develop riders at their own pace.
All students are taught a solid foundation in the basics of riding. Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, and Pleasure riders all learn to employ the balanced seat appropriate for their preferred riding style. Horsemanship is an essential aspect of every lesson. Each student is required to practice the basic responsibilities of the equine art, such as catching, grooming, and tacking their horse. We offer horse training for starting young horses under saddle to polishing your mature horse for show. We accept "problem" horses. We have experience working with a wide array of breeds. Lunge work is utilized for horses to develop correct muscular structure and to alleviate resistance.

We offer quality, individualized, private riding instruction on your horse or one of ours. Lease horses sometimes available. Will travel to your place or you may haul your horse in for training and lessons. Lunge work is utilized for the student to achieve an independent seat, legs, and hands for improved coordination, effectiveness of aids, and safety.

We have horses available for sale in various price ranges, experience levels, and athletic capabilities.

All of our hunter jumper horses and riders are taught the fundamentals of dressage.

Ashley is a USDF Certified Instructor / Trainer specializing in Dressage training and lessons for all levels of Dressage, Eventing and flat work for Hunter / Jumpers. We offer horse boarding to clients at the scenic Sunset Stables. We have school horses suitable for beginners to advanced riders and welcome students with their own horses in need of training and /or coaching to advance in dressage. We offer hunter/jumper training from the beginning rider to the most advanced rider. We are a goal-oriented barn which prepares you for the horse show circuits.

We specialize in lessons for the beginner rider up to advanced-competition levels. We offer lessons in both English and Western.

Beginner Private lessons($40) are always one student per instructor. Designed for students who have little or no experience, the following skills are covered: Grooming, saddling, leading, mounting, adjusting stirrup length, maneuvering a mount at walk and trot around the ring. Students will remain in this specially priced lesson program until it is determined by the instructor that sufficient proficiency has been attained in the above basic skills. At that time the student may either move into a group lesson or choose to remain in 1/2 hr. privates at the regular price.

Our Private Lessons($45) are always one student per instructor. Private lessons are a perfect compliment to group lessons to help focus on particular problems. It is suggested that riders have their mounts fully warmed up and ready for the lesson in order to get full benefit from the lesson.

Our group lessons($30/person) are 1 Hour long and have from 3-6 riders. We form our groups based upon rider ability level and whenever possible by age also. All new riders must first take private lessons so that we can assess the rider's ability.... See More

We teach lessons from Beginner to Advanced hunt seat. We are on 100 beautiful acres with a ring of 250 x 200. Very laid back atmosphere with focus on local showing at CTHJA level and some "A" shows.
