Terri Young trains horses and teaches riders of all levels. She specializes in bridging the gap between the local Virginia show circuit and US Equestrian Federation-rated shows. Terri grew up competing in equitation and hunters in New Jersey before spending several years working for dressage trainers, including Lendon Gray. After graduating with a degree in business management from Syracuse University, she moved to Germany where she trained and showed jumpers before returning stateside to open her own stable. She is a USEF “r” judge and a member of the USHJA Youth Council. Terri has been accepted to the USHJA Trainer Certification Program and was the winner of "Win a Week with Frank Madden," sponsored by Bates Saddles and Practical Horseman Magazine. Red Gate Farm offers private, semi-private, and group riding lessons for ages 4 through adult. Unbeatable summer camps and student shows and clinics emphasizing safety, fun, and learning. Our instructors typically have 15-30 years experience teaching. We are located 9 miles west of Leesburg/Ashburn in Hamilton. Our goal at Stone Bridge Farm is to offer our riders the best riding instruction, facilities and horses available in southwest Virginia -- and to do so in an environment that is fun, welcoming, and safe. In the last year, our high school and middle school riding teams have been among the most successful in the Mid-Atlantic states, and many of our show riders have earned local, state and national recognition.

Our trainers are experienced professionals, with demonstrated success in hunters, jumpers and equitation.
