PTR would like to welcome our new trainer and coach, Alexa Belen!

Alexa will be teaching Tuesday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's and Sunday's and training as well. We are so excited to add her to our family! I've been looking for a mini me and I found her. Please let me know if you would like to take some lessons under her guidance.

Alexa started riding at age 6 right here at Pony Tail Ranch. She showed on our AQHA team for many years at the national level and was top 10 in the nation in 2005. This little gal is a very accomplished horsewoman and will be sharing her expertise with our students.

Alexa graduated from Washington State university in 2013 with a Bachelor of science in psychology and a Bachelors of Arts in criminal justice. She volunteered at PATH, Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship program which fueled her two passions, horses and helping people. She is interested in starting a rehabilitation therapy program. Alexa would like to continue her education by working toward her masters degree focusing on Horse Therapy in correlation with criminal rehabilitation as well as victims of physical and mental trauma.

Colleen has owned and been the head trainer at Hunter's Run for 25 years. She brings many years of experience to horse care, client satisfaction as well as a life-long love of horses, people and horse shows.
She has also found time to give back in industry positions such as president and board member many times for the Washington State Hunter-Jumper Association, North American Young Riders Coordinator, Zone IX Chairman, and she is currently on the Zone IX Board for USHJA.

Career highlight: Being awarded the National Bergen-Brunswick Corporation's "Trainer of the Year."

Meghann has been riding and showing since she was four years old. She successfully competed in the ponies, children's, juniors, adult, amateur owners and grand prix. After receiving a criminal justice degree from Seattle University, Meghann chose to become a professional for Hunter's Run.

Career highlights include: 3 top ten placings in the USEF WEst Coast Finals, top 10 in the National equitation Finals at the Capitol Challenge under Karen Healy. She also swept the N.W. Zone IX finals as an adult winning the Adult Eq Finals, Adult Hunter Finals, Johnny Johnson MEdal Finals and the Ariat Finals. She recently won the Zone IX 1st Year Green Finals on DaVinci in 2009. She brings extensive experience to our riders.

Angie has been riding with Hunter's Run since she was 11 years old. Her expertise is starting green and/or young horses, preparing them for shows, and offering a comfortable 1st show experience. Angie has consistently won many championships at shows in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and California as well as many year end and zone awards.
She is excellent with new riders, helping them gain confidence and is a strong coach for intermediate and advanced students. Angie has also been a board member several times for the Washington State Hunter & Jumper Association.

Better than lessons - you and your kids will appreciate a trail ride over boring arena circles any day! Riders will learn basic handling skills in a far more beautiful environment. Valerie de Marval has been riding since the age of seven and has been an instructor and trainer for over two decades. Valerie is a Certified Riding Instructor and Horsemanship Graduate of the Pacific Horse Center. Her early training included many years of intense work with Dennis Calin and Lissolette Fore. She has competed through Third Level; trained at Prix St. Georges; and shown both hunter/jumper and 3-day events. She even worked with race horses in France for several years as an amateur jockey!

Valerie offers group and private instruction for riders of all ages, levels, and abilities. Her primary focus is Dressage, but she also teaches Basic Horsemanship as well as low level Hunter/Jumper and English Pleasure classes. Lungeing of horse and rider can be arranged. Valerie has a small stable of school ponies and horses available for classes and leasing.

Personalized training and coaching for you and your horse is available. Valerie is happy to help you prepare for and compete in shows. She also can show your horse herself if you would prefer.
