What is a well-broke horse, and how do I ride one? These are two questions that most people starting out in the horse industry should ask themselves before riding independently or buying a horse. The longer I spend in the equine industry, the more I realize that many horse folks ask these questions later rather than sooner. Perhaps they buy a horse that they think is broke- that is, until it bucks them off and they get hurt. Or perhaps they think they are competent riders without taking lessons from a professional- until their horse jumps sideways and they fall off.
If you would give me the opportunity, I would like to answer these questions for you. Whether you have always wanted to ride but just now have the opportunity, or whether you have been riding for years but feel as those something is missing, I am here to help. I will accept all ages and ability levels of riders. I have safe, experienced, competent lesson horses which have been specially selected both for their level-headedness as well as their athleticism. One of my lesson horses has previously taught therapeutic lessons to children with autism, and he would love to help special needs children again if there is a need.
I also offer horse training. I do not subscribe to any particular method. Rather, I combine all of the knowledge I have from various riding disciplines and experiences to suit the specific needs of the horse I am working with. I am willing to train any breed of horse as well as any age of horse.
