I give western horse riding lessons for all ages (Kids & Adults). Located in Mansfield, TX near Kennedale. I have been giving lessons for over 20 years and currently compete in barrel racing and train barrel horses. I help beginners along with intermediate or advanced level riders. I have helped many high school students in their rodeo events. I have horses you can use for lessons or you can bring your own. My lessons are 1 hour long and are all private lessons unless you have a friend or family member that is wanting to ride at the same time. I offer experienced training for western and all around AQHA and APHA displines from beginner to the advanced national level rider. Texas Aggie grad with a B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Reproduction and Equine Sports Physiology. Member of the inagural TAMU Stock Horse Team and clinician for the Texas Extension 4-H Horsemanship Clinics. I have an experienced and very safe lesson horse who is also an NRHA money earning show horse to help take you from begining through your first show with confidence. I love teaching children and have coached a young lady to a Reserve All Around Highpoint Championship at the Reichert Celebration as well as the many other High Point Awards recieved by my clients of all ages. I believe in teaching total horsemanship, from grooming and care to physiology and psychology so that you can understand not only the how, but the why a correction or movement is used. I am well versed in several disciplines, as well as equine management. With an extensive background in the hunter/jumper circuit, certified veterinary technician, experience in everything from show jumping to reining, and a current education in dressage, I am able to offer a broad spectrum of knowledge.

My training system is strongly grounded in the principles of the German Training Scale. Starting with rhythm, relaxation, connection, straightness, impulsion, and collection - the purpose being to develop to the fullest the horse's mental and physical aptitude, and willingness to perform.

I follow the Conrad Schumacher methodology of training: "Enhancing the rider's physical and mental awareness to create maximum harmony with the horse is the cornerstone of the training philosophy. The focus on mental fitness and rider awareness are developed through the basic foundation of the scales of training, the prerequisites for optimum performance, and the selection of working patterns to achieve correct execution of movements throughout the levels."
