We offer horseback riding lessons for children of all ages! We also offer day camps, week long camps, and mini horse parties! We specialize in beginners and look forward to meeting new people!

Huntington Farm Hanoverians is a full-service hunter/jumper stable offering private lessons for children and adults from the beginner novice through advanced level rider. Whether you are new to horseback riding or are a seasoned competitor, Huntington Farm can help tailor a program to suit you. Lessons are personalized to each riders individual goals with a focus on safety and success for both horse and rider. All riding lessons at Huntington Farm are instructed by owner/trainer Mary Jane Todd-Day. Mary Jane enjoys working with both adult amateur riders and young riders alike, using positive training and coaching methods that take into consideration each rider's ability and riding goals with an emphasis on horsemanship, education and success. Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn to ride, or an experienced rider who wants to improve your skills, there is a place for you at our Riding School! We teach English and Western to our students, who range in age from 4 to Mature. Group and private sessions are available.
Students are split into small riding groups based on their ability and previous riding experience. Our goal is to build each rider’s skills and confidence enabling them to ride safely and correctly. Theory is an essential plank of our curriculum. The ‘whys’ of riding, training, and horse behavior, are equally important to the ‘hows’. Small group environment allows our instructors to offer individualized attention and develop riders at their own pace.
All students are taught a solid foundation in the basics of riding. Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, and Pleasure riders all learn to employ the balanced seat appropriate for their preferred riding style. Horsemanship is an essential aspect of every lesson. Each student is required to practice the basic responsibilities of the equine art, such as catching, grooming, and tacking their horse. We teach lessons from Beginner to Advanced hunt seat. We are on 100 beautiful acres with a ring of 250 x 200. Very laid back atmosphere with focus on local showing at CTHJA level and some "A" shows.

Vanessa and Patrick Conner have spent their lives riding and working with horses. Vanessa has been training and teaching riding professionally in the Austin area for more than two decades. Vanessa trains riders in the disciplines of dressage, show jumping and eventing. Eventing is the "triathlon" of equestrian sports and consists of dressage, show jumping and cross-country jumping. She is currently working on earning her United States Dressage Federation (USDF) bronze medal. Vanessa is an United States Eventing Association (USEA) Level I Certified Trainer.

The Conners' riding lesson and training program is based on the principles of classical dressage. Vanessa specializes in dressage training and lessons through USDF third level, and she enjoys working with all types of riders and horses. She also teaches jumping lessons through the USEA Preliminary Level (3'6"), and trains riders in the sport of eventing from the Green-as-Grass (beginner) level through Preliminary. Because the Conners' focus on eventing, their program provides lessons in both show jumping and cross-country jumping.

The Conners conduct training at their facility in Liberty Hill, Texas, just 25 minutes northwest of Austin. The Conners host clinics with outside riding clinicians, and Vanessa is also available for clinics, horse show coaching and horse evaluations.
