Cori Nichols specializes in training both horses and riders for all aspects of balanced seat riding: dressage, stadium jumping and cross country jumping. With great enthusiasm, she teaches both children and adults how to communicate effectively, efficiently and tactfully with their mounts. Her home base is Norwegian Wood Farm, a 148 acre 'playground' for horse lovers, featuring a covered riding ring, numerous hacking fields,outdoor sand ring as well as the only cross country course in the Rondout Valley district. Amy von Scholz, owner and Head Trainer is an active local Dressage judge and USDF L/distinction. She has been riding for over 30 years and has worked with some of the best trainers, including olympians as well as many grand prix riders in dressage, jumpers, combined training, equitation, hunters and graduated from Centenary College, one of the top equine schools, with a BA. She is comfortable teaching all levels and has the patience to deal with children and beginners plus the eye to help the more advanced riders. We have reasoable prices and a positive approach. We horse show with our competitive riders and offer leases and sales, clinics and workshops for the more serious riders.
