North Star Stables is an inclusive riding facility offering riding lessons for people of all abilities. Instructor Teresa Pilegaard teaches with a foundation of classical dressage and focuses on adapting her teaching style to the needs of each individual rider. A PATH International IT, Teresa constantly pursues excellence in her riding and instructing.

Riding lessons are available for students age 2 - adult. Therapeutic riding lessons are available to students age 4 and up.

Charlotte Williams is an experienced hunter/jumper/event rider currently specializing in jumpers and eventing. Her objective is to give both horses and riders a solid foundation that they can take to any equine discipline of their choosing or to just enjoy the horses to the best of their abilities. There is a huge focus in both riding and horsemanship on the ground. Working and riding the horses is not just about the saddle time but also the time on the ground to give a solid foundation in all aspects for the horse and the rider. She has brought several horses up from the ground to being successful show horses. Nestled on close to 250 acres in the Virginia countryside along the Rappahannock River, Tamarack Stables Rivers Edge offers a complete equestrian development program. Watch your children as they partake in lessons, send your children to riding camp, purchase registered Andalusians, or have your horse trained.
Send your child to riding day camp or to our overnight riding camp in the summer, where they will learn the fundamentals of horsemanship and stable management.
Other activities offered are birthday parties, picnics, overnighters, weekenders, gold-panning and tubing on the river -- all in the beautiful country setting of Fredericksburg, VA.
