Kim Yotko is an A.R.I.A. certified instructor in both Hunt Seat and Dressage. She has been teaching since 1976 on our own quality horses and ponies. Kim has quite a comprehensive background in riding. As a junior she rode at the esteemed Jane Dillon's Junior Equitation School, as well as being a member of the United States Pony Club. More recently, Kim Has received further Dressage training in Germany, Portugal, and Spain under the tutelage of world class instructors and Olympians. River Chase Farm brings together over 50 years of combined experience in riding instruction and horse shows. Our team of professional instructors provides something for everyone from the serious competitor to the weekend hobbyist . Many of our students compete in the VHSA and USEF horse shows. We offer flexible lesson times at reasonable rates with both private and group lesson options. Students must be at least 5 yrs of age.

Four Winds Farm is signing up new students for lessons! We offer English AND western lessons -including, but not limited to: Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation, Dressage, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship ,Trail, Western Dressage.
All ages and all levels welcome! We have an indoor arena and two outdoor arenas, great group of lesson horses and ponies. For the competitive riders we show locally and rated as well as AQHA and Open shows. We are also the host facility for the Prince William Horse Association Horse Shows.
We also offer horses and ponies available for lease and for sale. Boarding available too.

We specialize in teaching the sports of dressage and eventing to riders of all ages and ability levels.

Terri Young trains horses and teaches riders of all levels. She specializes in bridging the gap between the local Virginia show circuit and US Equestrian Federation-rated shows. Terri grew up competing in equitation and hunters in New Jersey before spending several years working for dressage trainers, including Lendon Gray. After graduating with a degree in business management from Syracuse University, she moved to Germany where she trained and showed jumpers before returning stateside to open her own stable. She is a USEF “r” judge and a member of the USHJA Youth Council. Terri has been accepted to the USHJA Trainer Certification Program and was the winner of "Win a Week with Frank Madden," sponsored by Bates Saddles and Practical Horseman Magazine. Four Winds Farm is now offering public riding lessons, both english AND western, for all ages and levels of riders in a family orientated, fun and safe environment!

We offer year round lessons. Students ride once a week, but additional lessons are available. Each lesson is 1 hour. We offer three options; private lessons, semi-private lessons and group lessons (up to 6 riders) morning, afternoon, weeknight and weekend classes are available

We have both indoor and outdoor arenas, lessons are rarely canceled due to weather.

FWF has a great group of horses and ponies for our lessons! Most of them are also available to lease (half or full) depending on the horse.

Our instructors have a very wide background of knowledge and experience in hunters, jumpers, eventing, dressage, western pleasure and much more!

Enjoy and learn all aspects of the horse world, from the basics of horsemanship, such as grooming and tacking, every day care like feeding and barn management,from training to showing and so much more!

Four Winds Farm is the "host facility" for the Prince William Horse Association horse shows. We host 7 english and 7 western shows each season (usually march thru October) and we encourage our students to participate in the shows on one of our horses! There are classes for ALL levels from the Lead Line division on up!

Hard hat, pants and boots with a hard smooth sole and a heel must be worn while riding.

Lauren’s family got their first horses when she was 18 months old and she has been heavily involved with them since. Training under world class instructors in the U.S Pony Club, achieving her C3/HB and C3 Dressage, Lauren has trained horses from the first time being haltered to 3rd level dressage. She has experience with severely abused horses, off-the-track racehorses, top level event horses, and everything in between. Lauren has been teaching English style riding since she was a teenager and began training students in Western style in recent years. Lauren’s approach to teaching allows people to find their love of the sport through empathy, correctness, and joy. Lauren believes riding is as much mental as it physical and the well-being of horse and rider is her focus.... See More

Taylor is originally from North Carolina. At the age of four, she started riding horses and by age six she was doing low level barrel jackpots to compete at on weekends. Her love for horses stemmed from there and she learned everything she could from anyone and every horse she could ride or work with!

Taylor began training and colt starting around the age of fifteen with the help of her own trainer until she ventured off by herself to start training for various clients. She eventually went on to compete in and out of state state barrel racing competitions until she turned seventeen. At that point, she focused more on training and flipping horses.

Her love is not just for barrel racing, but also for pole bending, trail riding, colt starting, and restart projects! The most gratifying part of Taylor’s passion is not only helping owners/riders build confidence and skill but also their horses. She is a firm believer that anyone can learn to ride or work with horses at any point in their lives and there is always something new to learn everyday!... See More

Barbara is a student of classical dressage with Nuno Oliveira and Dominique Barbier and eventing with Jimmy Wofford.

She has trained mounts from unbroken to advanced level eventing, Prix St. George dressage, and first-flight foxhunters. She also has trained students to the same levels of competition. She brings her experience to Silver Eagle Stable and enjoys teaching in a more relaxed atmosphere... See More

Kelsey began riding horses when she was 6 years old, getting her first pony for her 7th birthday. She was a member of The United States Pony Club for 11 years, achieving her C3 rating.

Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, she spent her childhood traveling across the Midwest for various camps and events. Kelsey has spent many summers living with trainers and working with horses. As she grew as a rider, she began giving lessons and training horses. Kelsey worked with a therapeutic riding program for multiple years, assisting children and adults with various disabilities both on and off horses. She has taught riders of all ages about horsemanship and developing a strong foundation both in and out of the saddle.

Currently Kelsey is a middle school art teacher in Prince William County Schools. She has a passion for education and making learning fun and looks forward to doing the same thing at Silver Eagle Stable.... See More
