Stephanie teaches riders from beginners through skilled on their own horses or reliable lesson horses at all levels - first the principles of control of the horse's body and influencing its attitude from the ground, later astride, and then using the logical building blocks of dressage to give riders a good foundation of balance, control, and independence of aids to pursue whatever avenue of the sport of horseback riding they choose to follow. Although a trainer and competitor of Dressage horses to the FEI level for over 35 years, Stephanie also teaches students who choose to specialize in hunt seat, jumping, western, western dressage, or gaming. Her assistant trainer Ann Tukey Shideler has taken over the instruction of jumping. Meadowgate is the new home of the reorganized Skagit Valley Pony Club.

I offer a safe modivating enviroment for kids and adults. I start with flat work and determine were my riders are at. I teach Hunter/Jumper after my client has proven themselves on the flat. I also offer a range of western disiplines. There are over 50 privatley owned horses and foals at our facilitiy. Our lesson program is designed for riders at all levels who may or may not own there own horse or pony. We give individual instruction with safety being the upmost importance. Our riders are taught the basics of both a correct riding seat and respect for the horse or pony, learning many ground skills that help a good rider. Our young adult and adult riders are in the program for a variety of reasons. Some want to gain additional riding or driving experience in the show horse discipline, some want to begin a love affair of riding not attained in their younger years, some have started after their children are older, and some are riding to gain personal and physical strength.
