We are located in Verona and just a few minutes from Madison’s West side. Liberty Stables is not just another boarding barn…. We are a TRAINING facility that specializes in Beginner and Youth riders. We teach our riders the fundamental skills of Horsemanship, Sportsmanship and Team work. We have spent years developing a program that teaches our riders in a fun and safe atmosphere. We currently have over 70 youth riders and 40 Adult riders that attend our lesson or Horsemanship classes weekly. Many of which have been with us for 10 plus years. Our team also competes in many 4H, open and breed circuit shows. If you are looking for a place where you can learn to ride or achieve your dreams in horse ownership Liberty is the place for you!! We offer lessons for all ages and ambitions, ages 5 and up in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer English & Western lessons and also basic Dressage and Saddleseat lessons on our safe and well trained lesson horses or on your horse. Safety is first with us. At Phantom Ranch we teach ‘Rider Independence’. This means the student is taught all aspects of horse care, ground work and riding. Students are taught how to catch and groom their horse before the lesson, and how to untack and release their horse after the lesson. Students are challenged to experience different saddle disciplines as well as other styles - driving with our minis, vaulting on our draft horses and navigating our trail obstacle courses in-hand and mounted.

We offer trail rides, week long summer horse camps; Girl Scouts and other group education, horsemanship lessons and volunteer opportunities. We are a ETS host for clinics and competitions. We are currently looking for summer staff who would like to work in a Christian environment and have a passion for training kids with horses.

**Training & Lessons** Steph has been riding horses since she was 7 years old. Steph has been training and giving lessons for about 5 years. Steph believes in building a relationship between the horse and rider, and while doing so building both the horse and riders confidence. Steph teaches through Natural Horsemanship, building trust between the horse and rider. Learning how the horse thinks and moves is vital to how you ask a horse to move off of pressure.
