FlutterShy Stable offers english riding lessons for all ages. From your first time grooming a horse, all the way to traveling to compete in shows. We offer lesson horses that we carefully fit for every rider. We hold week long Summer Camps. Our style of teaching is to focus on the safety of the horse and the rider first. FlutterShy stable is unique in that we primarily teach hunter/jumper but also feel riders should be able to learn parts of other disciplines such as, western gaming, dressage basics, and eventing. About Us

Rustic View Farm is located in the scenic Baraboo Bluffs, in Merrimac,Wisconsin. We are home to about 30 Morgan horses as well as our beloved Labrador Retrievers and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Rustic View Farm is owned by Dr. Dean and Wendy Meyer. Started in 1989 with the beginning of a breeding program that has since developed into what we believe to be Morgans with quality, substance, and style. Whether for the showring or for the family horse, we offer horses of all ages, all levels of training. If you are looking for a new show prospect, or a family horse, we welcome you to our farm! In 2011, we welcomed Jim Riggs, our new son-in-law officially into our family and are pleased to have him as our resident trainer, along with our daughter Nicole. Jim has been a horseman all of his life and brings to Rustic View Farm, his knowledge and expertise with starting young horses right. He is first and foremost a skilled farrier and operates his farrier service full time. Nicole has grown up in the show ring. She has shown at the National level and has been very successful in her endeavors. She now offers a complete lesson program from beginners thru advanced.

Riding Lessons:

We offer riding lessons for those interested in showing or for individuals who would like to learn to ride just for the fun of it, no matter what age.

Wisconsin winters can be long and cold and horseback riding is an excellent way to keep in shape during those long winter months! Ride in comfort in our newly remodeled heated indoor arena!!

Our Lesson Progrom

Every individual begins with a private lesson to evauluate their experience so they may be placed with the best possible horse. For a beginner, it will take several private lessons before they are ready to participate in a group lesson. Every individual progresses at a different rate. Very young riders will require more one-on-one attention and we recommend private riding lessons until the rider is comfortable being transitioned into a group session. This time frame varies for each individual.

Lesson Length

Lessons generally last approximately 30 minutes. However, that can be a long time for a young person to ride and some individuals do better with a shorter ride. Therefore, we will spend the remainder of time grooming the horse or learning about horses in general.

Lesson Attire

You must wear long pants and closed toe shoes to your lesson. Sandals or open-toed (or open-heeled) shoes are not appropriate. Shorts and capri pants are not acceptable.... See More

Tipperary Farm helps horse enthusiasts learn about equestrian sports and horsemanship from hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, foxhunting and confidence building for pleasure/trail riding. We accept and encourage all levels and ages of riders including handicapped riders. We are supporters and breeders of Endangered Rare Cleveland Bay Horses. Jack and Paula Curtis have a combined experience of 32 years; training horses and instructing their owners, in a variety of disciplines. Together they have competed nationally in Jumping, Dressage, and Western events. They teach clinics throughout the state, and as far away as Florida, give demonstrations at horse fairs, and instruct anyone interested in achieving a higher level of horsemanship.

Having studied with some of the finest trainers and clinicians the horse industry has to offer, Jack and Paula bring a wealth of knowledge to their teaching program. Their ability to articulate their thoughts and ideas has an enormous impact on the success of their students and horses.
~The Stable~
The stable of JPC offers indoor and outdoor full-service boarding with the amenities of a large facility and the individualized care of a small family stable. New large indoor arena, spacious clean rubber matted stalls, and miles of trails meandering through the 62 acre farm. Horses live in a quiet, relaxed and closely watched environment. Feeding and turnout programs are customized to each horse. Owners live on premise, and are involved with the day to day operations of the facility.
Located in Grafton, WI, minutes north of Milwaukee and just 1 1/2 miles off of I-43. It is 62 scenic acres of rolling fields, woods, creek, and pasture.

Learning Opportunities with Jack and Paula include:

Lessons on your own horses: Trailer your own horse in for a private lesson to brush up on your horsemanship skills, solve a problem, prepare for a show, learn a new skill etc... We can take you and your horse to the next level in whatever discipline you ride.

Lessons on our horses: We have a variety of lesson horses available; dressage, hunters, jumpers, reining, and barrel racing horses. Let us know what your goals and ambitions are and we can find the right match for you.

Semi-private clinics: These clinics are geared towards those of you who would like an in depth horsemanship experience. Spend the day with Jack and Paula as they give you hands on instruction. Watch them work with various horses and experiment with various techniques on your own horse or one of the lesson horses. This format covers a multitude of topics allowing more time and a broader topic range than a regular lesson. Greenhaven Farm was established in 2000 and offers fun safe riding lessons to both kids and adults. Lesson Horses available. English lessons. Kind patient instructor with 30 years experience.

We are not only a CUSTOM SADDLE SHOP but we are giving lessons to kids and young adults. We start at the beginning and teach the very basics on how to handle a horse on the ground and earn their trust which in turn earns you respect from your horse.
We can use your horse or ours. We can give 1 or 2 hour lessons which are $30.00 for 1 hour and $55.00 for a 2 hour lesson.
All riders and spectators ride at their own risk and will be required to sign a release form.
If you bring your own horse and the horse needs work as well the there may be added costs.
