Rachel attended Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre where she studied all aspects of the equine profession. While at Meredith Manor she concentrated on Dressage and Jumping. She went on to be the working student for Erika Fluery in West Chester Pennsylvania where she learned much about the FEI levels of dressage. At age twenty she went to work for Debbie Hubbard of Lake St Louis Stables as her assistant trainer. She was in charge of riding and training (under Debbie's instruction) 6 to 7 mounts a day. Rachel also taught beginner and intemediate lessons. Rachel was in charge of the entire operation when the owners and Debbie wintered in Florida. It was at there that she learned about bringing younger and less advanced horses up through the levels of dressage and eventing. She has shown successfully through Prix St George in Dressage, as well as Preliminary level Eventing. At 23 Rachel went on to become the head-trainer and barn manager of Ottertail Farm where she worked extensively in putting young warmbloods undersaddle and prepared them for sale. Rachel loves to further her knowledge and "stay sharp" in her skill. She has had the opportunity to clinic with Klaus Balkenol, Gunner Ostergaardt, Wolfgang May, Natalie Lamping, Jana Armstrong, Paula Briney, and Nancy Stanton.
Currently Rachel ownes and operates Freedom of Movement out of Sullivan IL. She offers lessons and training Monday-Friday. She is also offering her training and showing services in Dressage and Eventing. Contact Rachel for more details!
