STALLS: are 12x12 fully matted with auto waters/buckets, stalls cleaned 7days a week with fresh shavings added daily and ample bedding. Horses are fed AM & PM, hay (timothy/grass mix) and grain (we feed a 11% pro/6% fat Pellet and Sweet Feed, a 12% pro/10% fat pellet, Senior pellet), Supplements are fed at no charge as long as pre measured (smart paks or 1-2 buckets of a supplement or liquid by stall) and easily accessible in a basket on the stall. Water Buckets (or auto water's) are cleaned daily and filled 2x a day. Blanketing/Fly Sheets/Fly Masks/Bell Boots etc are put on/removed for turnout as needed,
TURNOUT: We turn horses out either alone, with 1 other horse, or we have a few pastures with small groups of 2-4 horses. We will work with you and place your horse in the appropriate pasture depending on their temperment etc. During the summer horses are out overnight from apx 5pm (depends on weather sometimes go out at 5 sometimes go out at 7, depending how hot it is) and come in at 7:00am. We do not turn out if calling for heavy rains or high chance of thunderstorms. During the winter, horses are out during the daytime from 8am-3pm. Pastures are with 3 strand Electric Tape or Braided Electric Rope.
RINGS: We have 5 arenas for our boarders use. We have a huge indoor with dirt/sand footing that is 100x200, and limestone "courtyard ring" that is in the center of the 2 barn wings of 100x 60, a regulation size dressage ring up on the hill overlooking the property of a sand mix (great footing), and a HUGE outdoor "jump ring" with (newly added footing) that is a sand/limestone mix of 250x100, and there is a sand ring with excellent footing up on the hill at the 2nd barn (private) that is 100x50. We also have plenty of mowed paths along the property you can ride on and work up/down various hills. There are path's around all the pastures, around the hay fields, and some trails in the woods leading to a creek as well. We have barrels, and plenty of schooling jumps.
BARN AMENITIES: We have large spacious asile and high ceilings, ceiling fans, fans are permitted on stall doors as well, large doors at either ends and center of barn to allow great air flow. There are 4 tackrooms, restrooms, fridge, microwave, and a radio in the barn as well as the indoor arena. The driveway is very large, paved, and very easy for trailers of any size to come in/out. Trailer parkings is available at no charge for boarders as well. There are no specific barn hours however we ask that everyone is out of the barn by 11pm or at least is quiet and respectful late at night. Someone does live on the property next to barns. We do have 2 washrack's with hot/cold water as well.
OUR BOARDERS: We have a wide range of boarders here, and everyone does something different it seems. We are NOT a show barn, or lesson barn, or busy barn. We are mostly adults who have shown or ridden horses their whole lives, younger girls in their teens-20's who are active in different styles of riding, and a few retired horses enjoying the easy life. We have a few english hunter/jumper riders, pony club/eventing, western pleasure, trail/pleasure/retiree's, fox hunting, driving, dressage/pleasure, and a few western/barrels. We do offer riding lessons in English / Hunter-Jumper, and guest Dressage instructor Cindy Mattern. Other trainers welcome. You are also welcome to use your own instructor.
We are a very quiet somewhat private farm, there are normally no more than 2-3 people at the barn at a time riding, so use of the ring is never an issue. We only have a few lessons per week, which are private lessons so you do not have to worry about the ring being busy or a bunch of kids running around. We are 95% adult's only here. This really is a barn that does not judge how you ride, what you ride, or when you ride. Everyone is laid back and because so many boarders ride in different styles, there is always something new and fun going on, and you never have to worry about someone judging how you ride. Many of us are adult-amateur's who just enjoy our horses and the option of having such a large facility to enjoy. Many of us go for walks around the property daily during nice weather, so it is easy to find some friends to join you on quiet trail rides.
Current vaccines / Negative Coggins are required for any horse before they arrive at the property.
