deSaix Hill / Riding Instructor in Opelousas, Louisiana

deSaix has been riding since the age of 2. She began showing hunters at the age of 9. She has always owned green horses with little or no training.

deSaix holds a bachelor's of arts Equine Studies degree from Virginia Intermont College. She is also an American Riding Instructor Association Certified Level III Hunter Seat Equitation instructor and a member of ARIA, USEF , and founder and director of the Acadiana Hunter Jumper Association. In addition to showing in rated and schooling shows for over 20 years, deSaix was an active member of her college's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's Hunter Seat team. She competed in the open division and participated in every show during her four years of eligibility.
