Laurie has 30+ years experience in teaching, training, and competing - with numerous awards in equitation, dressage, eventing, and jumping. Riding facility known as Harvest Meadow Farm. Experience showing horses at Devon, Wellington, Harrisburg, St. Clements, Skidmore, and many others. Offering lessons in dressage, hunt seat, jumping, western, and ground work using natural, practical horsemanship techniques by Pat Parelli, Monty Roberts, Clinton Anderson and many others. Lessons being offered to all levels of riders from beginners to advanced for all ages. Special programs for children and adults with disabilities. Laurie has a BA in Psychology with numerous courses specializing in autism, down's syndrome, depression, eating disorders, drug addictions, anxiety and overall self confidence. Riding is great for children and adults to have positive experiences on the ground and on the horse.
Laurie rode with a trainer that graduated from Morven Park for many years. Morven Park has been known as one of the top equestrian colleges in the country. She continued her riding career with Neil Shapiro - Silver Medalist 1972 Olympics in open jumping and went on to ride jumpers professionally until an injury encouraged her to pursue dressage. At that time she started riding with her trainer: Rick Albertson - USDF Bronze and Silver medalist in Dressage, and has since ridden with numerous top clinicians including Janet Black, George Morrison, Kathy Connelly, Mary Howard, Jane Hannigan, Pat Parelli, and numerous others.
