Welcome to our Equine Empowerment Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to horse welfare and rider education. Our summer camps and riding lessons offer hands-on experiences in horsemanship, grooming, and stable management.

Our unique approach focuses on rescued horses, giving them a second chance through rehabilitation and retraining. These horses play a central role in our programs, contributing to the therapeutic practice of hippotherapy.

Join us for an immersive experience in a supportive environment, where riders of all ages and abilities can develop essential life skills alongside our rescued equine partners. At our center, every lesson and interaction serves a dual purpose, fostering growth and well-being for riders and horses.
The camps were designed for ages 7-12 years of age. Only 8 kids per session.
Monday - Friday 8:30 am -1:30 pm with extended days available.
Session 1-June 23-37, Session 2-July 7-11, Session 3 -July 21-25, & Session 4-August 4-8.
There is a horse show/game day Pizza Party on the last day of the camps each week.
So go ahead and give them a pony this summer and watch their confidence soar to new heights while they learn valuable life skills outside with majestic horses & ponies.
Camp Sessions cost $690/session. We do offer a military discount, early discounted registration is available through April 20th. Multiple-week sign-ups or siblings signing up also receive a discount. Fun Riding for all Ages and Skill Levels. Bibby Ranch offers a versatile riding program that is geared to riders of all ages and ability levels.

We help each student learn and strengthen the fundamentals of horsemanship with a focus on creating a bond between horse and rider.

Our goal is to create a fun environment to not only learn to ride our horses but to take the skills you learn out into the world and be able to create your own deep bonds with the horses you will meet. Riding can be a great opportunity for children. Not only do they get the experience of being around these magnificent animals, but it’s a chance to make friends their own age, and they will learn a great deal of responsibility along the way.

Adults who desire to return to riding or have always wanted to learn to ride the trails find a challenging and supportive environment with our well-trained lesson horses.

Our private ranch is located on the west end of Ramona. We offer riding lesson programs for ages 5 years and up and all ability levels. Come- trot Southern Californias fascinating trails! Skilled, experienced riders will find on Running Horse Ranch the opportunity go at a faster pace- to explore scenic, mountainous, wilderness trails, riding our skilled performance horses. Our rides can be challenging or easy going, the choice is yours- since we do not mix and match riders from other parties- except if we know all parties can ride!
Choose between adventurous day rides, - or stay for a three, five, or seven day riding adventure. Each vacation is custom tailored to your own need.
Your privacy is very important to us- we do not operate as a commercialist stable.
To keep the trails fun for our riders and horses we haul the horses to a selected variety of trail heads each day, to provide horse/rider teams a different trail and landscape setting.

Summer Horse Camp with tons of activities including:

*Learn parts of the Horse, Parts of the Tack, Bathing a Horse, How to Lunge, Showmanship
*Learn horse keeping...cleaning a stall, types of feed and grain.
*Tour the ranch and see our newest baby horse and see the great variety of horse breeds we have on
the ranch....learn about different breeds and the name of the colors of the horses.
*Most camps include a visit from a vet or farrier (horse shoer)
*Swim in our pond with paddle boat

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

During your stay at Mariposa Riding Club, campers will experience and improve on their horse skills, including horsemanship, and equitation. Sumer camp focus is to aid each individual camper in empowering them to a higher self-esteem, confidence, breaking through fears, and positively connecting camper and horse in a powerful relationship.

Meagan has over 20 years of riding experience. Over 15 years of competitive show experience. Meagan has been trained by top professionals, Liz Denny (Grand Prix), Hilda Gureny (Olympian trainer and Judge), training with Jodie Cressman (USDF Bronz and silver Medalist, Grand Prix), and Melinda Golis (Judge and Trainer).

Meagan’s focus of instruction is emphasized between horse and rider. Assisting the student and horse in positive and effective communication, through the use of verbal and non-verbal cues. Both camper and horse provide a therapeutic release of both physical and emotional needs.
It is Meagan’s passion and commitment in creating a nurturing and empowering environment for both horse and rider to last a life time.

Daily camp activities include caring for the horses and cleaning the stalls, riding lesson and instruction in horsemanship. Campers progress through the skill levels in addition to riding, campers learn about the care of horses, and participate in tacking and grooming them. A traditional horsemanship values that implements natural horsemanship in all of our training. We rescue horses and retrain them for lessons in our local community.
