Our on-site professional is Heather Froehlich Cortell.  Heather is a second generation horse trainer with extensive experience in hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage and horse health care.  Heather has very successfully shown at Regional ‘A’ rated shows qualifying for nationals 6 consecutive years as a child rider.
Heather has trained with a variety of top professional trainers including Lynn Cartellone, Jeff Gogul, Farra Phillips-Hillyard, Cindy Foster, and Sergio Jimenez.  She has also attended numerous clinics, studying the concepts of George Morris, Susan Harris, Felicitous, John Roper and Frank Madden.  During 2006, 2007, & 2008 she served as the assistant coach for the Bucknell Equestrian Team as well as assistant trainer and manager for Fox View Farms in Lewisburg PA, training horses and riders of all levels under the leadership of Farra Phillips-Hillyard.
 Heather and her staff are an experienced and enthusiastic group dedicated to producing well rounded, effective and confident equestrians.  Heather and her students attend shows and clinics in order to keep current on the latest riding and teaching techniques. Heather has attained a high skill level of riding and is able to school or re-school the greenest horses.

Fantastic winning 16.3h, 9 year old gelding by Elite Holsteiner sire Calido I and out of a Catoki Mare. Currently jumping 1.30/1.35m has the scope to go to the top. Very careful, nibble, rideable and goes off any stride. Lovely kind, fun horse that is easy in every way.

Hunters Creek Equestrian Center specializes in training those interested in riding hunter/jumpers. We welcome clients of all experience levels, beginner through advanced and those wishing to show.
Our trainers Kara Zarr (Hunters/Jumpers, Equitation)&Stephanie Eurez (Hunters/Jumpers,Eventing) have many years of experience as both competitors and instructors. With an emphasis on horsemanship and safety they will help you to achieve your equestrian goals. Kara is a local rider who has shown in hunters,equitation and jumpers locally and on the A circuit. After a successful competetive career, Kara has now turned her attention to training. She is a versatile trainer who caters to the needs of each student from beginner to advanced whether the goal of the rider is to show or simply ride for pleasure and gain a better understanding of horses in general.

Stephanie has been an active rider, competitor and trainer for over 25 years. She trains from a position of compassion and caring, bringing out the best in all of her charges, both 4 legged and 2. Stephanie is the owner and resident trainer at her own Trinity Farm, as well as Founder and President of the Board of the Shepherds Corner Rescue. Despite her busy schedule, she finds time to be here at Hunters Creek and bring her knowledge and caring to all of us. We are better riders horsewomen and horsemen for it.

Nestled on over 15 acres of pasture and wooded areas we are only moments north of the Village of New Albany and conveniently located to Westerville, Gahanna and surrounding areas. We offer both a 125x250 outdoor arena and a 60x120 indoor arena for comfortable year round riding. Our barn also features 2 tack stalls, plus a wash rack, a loft seating area overlooking our open and airy barn as well as separate school and boarders tack rooms. Our boarders tack room features a lounge area with comfortable seating and a full kitchen.
Lesson students will feel confident in our well trained and talented school horses. We also offer opportunities to half lease for those who would like to "test the waters" before committing to full horse ownership. For those who own a horse, full care board is available in conjunction with participation in our training/lesson program.
