Arendahl Farm is a 100 acre farm located 15 minutes from downtown Lexington and University of Kentucky. We provide lessons and training in dressage. Indoor arena with dust free footing allows us to train all year regardless of the weather.
Our training program is led by FEI rider/trainer. We routinely take clients to USDF recognized shows. As well as local schooling shows.
We offer full care boarding with lessons or training. There is also availability for pasture board. We do not offer self care.
Facilities include 14x14 matted stalls, climate controlled tack room, heated wash stall, round pen and rolling hills to ride on outside.

Are you looking for a more natural self-care boarding situation for your horse, but not full pasture board? We are a small horse boarding farm on a scenic 20-acre property in the Fern Creek/Floyds Fork area in Louisville. All horses have access to stalls in a barn that open onto state-of-the-art dry-lots. Daily turn out in grass paddocks alone or with other horses as weather, pasture condition and the horse's needs allow. The dry-lots allow horses to be outdoors as much as they want and be more sociable and mobile rather than standing in stalls most of the time. Stalls have rubber mats and electricity for fans in summer and heated buckets in winter. There is storage for tack, feed, hay and space for trailer parking.

120' x 60' outdoor arena, round pen, trail obstacles for training and a trail around the fields and through woodlands on the property. We work cooperatively with horse owners for happy, healthy horses and provide an alternative for owners who prefer that their horses are not confined to a stall most of the time. New Vista Farm is a small, semi-private boarding facility specializing in providing quality care for your horse(s) in a fun, friendly and stress-free environment. We accommodate approximately six horses on our property so each horse and owner receive individualized, personal attention. We offer roomy 12x12 stalls, each with an exterior window. Concrete center aisle. Indoor wash rack with hot/cold and an outdoor wash rack, indoor heated restroom with shower and a spacious tack room. The well maintained arena is approx 198' x 145' with a full size dressage area and a separate jumping area. All horses are on a mandatory quarterly de-worming rotation schedule and must be up to date on all vaccinations with current negative Coggins tests. We offer lessons specializing in Dressage and Jumpers and training services or, you're welcome to bring your own instructor or trainer.

The only board program I offer at this time is Self Care which includes the use of all facility amenities, including covered hay storeage area, feed room and tack room plus paddock. $300 per month self care, paddock only. Self care with stall and paddock is $400. Owner provides own feed and bedding and if renting a stall, is responsible for cleaning the stall on a regular basis. Owner can provide their own hay or buy from me at cost. I'll also be willing to work with boarders to fill in during feeding times when they are unable to do so.

A walk out basement apartment is available for one boarder also. (The apartment is currently rented and unavailable at this time). The apartment is a little less than 600 sf with a full kitchen (stove, double sink, refrigerator, microwave and lots of cabinet space and bar stool seating at the kitchen peninsula. Large bedroom with wardrobe and closet. Smaller living room. Apartment rent is $800/month and includes all utilities, wi-fi connection and access to farm dumpster for garbage removal.

We live on site and have eyes on horses multiple times daily. We provide full care pasture boarding, including run in shed with mats, fresh water daily, and hay as needed. Overnight stays are welcome as well. We do have room for trailer parking.

The farm is operated by Caroline Tatum, an equestrian and equine professional.

Caroline has been involved with horses since a very young age, with experiences including; teaching summer camps, intercollegiate riding, training and breaking young horses, teaching riders of all ages, grooming on show circuits, and Thoroughbred farm management for internationally known farms. Caroline has also ridden in multiple disciplines- eventing, fox hunting, dressage and hunt seat.

We have two barns that we rent out year round. One is an eight stall barn the other is a twelve stall barn. There is an outdoor ring which is 150 x 250 and an indoor ring which is 100 x 200.
