Are you looking for a more natural self-care boarding situation for your horse, but not full pasture board? We are a small horse boarding farm on a scenic 20-acre property in the Fern Creek/Floyds Fork area in Louisville. All horses have access to stalls in a barn that open onto state-of-the-art dry-lots. Daily turn out in grass paddocks alone or with other horses as weather, pasture condition and the horse's needs allow. The dry-lots allow horses to be outdoors as much as they want and be more sociable and mobile rather than standing in stalls most of the time. Stalls have rubber mats and electricity for fans in summer and heated buckets in winter. There is storage for tack, feed, hay and space for trailer parking.

120' x 60' outdoor arena, round pen, trail obstacles for training and a trail around the fields and through woodlands on the property. We work cooperatively with horse owners for happy, healthy horses and provide an alternative for owners who prefer that their horses are not confined to a stall most of the time. We use fly predators and slow-feeder hay nets. We currently have openings for two horses. 8 Maples Farm is small, family owned horse farm north of Simpsonville, Kentucky and close to Louisville. Located less than a mile from Shelby Trails Horse Park, we have 4 separate paddocks of varying size with trees, 9 stalls, run-in shed, and 2 round pens located on 11 rolling acres.

We provide specific programs to care for the needs of our horse and rider clientele. We do this on our lovely Lismore Farm which provides us with a 120 x 210 outdoor jumping and dressage arena, a large indoor arena, 24 stalls, a heated tack room, a hot and cold wash stall, washer and dryer and over 100 acres to ride on. We are also grateful for the hay which is grown on the farm allowing us to provide good quality feed. We pride ourselves in keeping our barn safe and clean for both our riders and horses.
