Stables at The Ridge is situated on 35 beautiful acres. We provide a low key, peaceful environment for you to enjoy and hang out with your horse. We are a full-service boarding facility that offers a wide range of services to make your life easier while allowing you to build a package that suits your needs. We live on site and provide several daily routine checks, quality hay to ensure your horse's health, and we are happy to feed out any supplements or feed that you supply. We provide pasture board, and each pasture has a shelter with a private 4x12 tack area and automatic waterer, so your horse has fresh, clean water at all times. Amenities are:

Update - Memorial Day 2021 - I registered this account with NewHorse in 2019, but never finished setting up the page or check on messages until just now. I apologize if you inquired and I never responded, but I never imagined the number of inquiries we had during this time!

We are now booking 3 month up to annual lease arrangements at the Barking Dog ranch in Woodlawn, Arkansas. A former organic vegetable farm and equestrian property, the Barking Dog as we liked calling it, is 13 miles south of Pine Bluff and just an hour from Little Rock. Based on interest it should be available for lease by August 2021.

There are 4, 3-9 acre “no-climb” fence tracts, each with water, and access to a 15 acre “community” area that includes a 3,000 square foot greenhouse, peach, plum, and apple orchard and gardening is welcome. In the shared area there is a newly constructed wood framed barn barn with concrete floor and wash pad, chicken coop, stocked 3 acre lake, great riding trails, practice /arena area and more! We have barrels and poles for your use, an RV pad with water/electric connection, and long term trailer parking in the community area.

Prices range from $300-$600 monthly and includes water. The common area has electric, water, high-speed internet and phone for a $100 monthly agreement. This property plus an additional 5 acres is for sale and currently listed with an agent. If we generate enough interest in building this organic equestrian community we will remove the property from the market!

Not to be confused with our Arkansas listing we also have a property in Eagle Nest, NM. This property available beginning in September offers overnight and weekly horse boarding, arena, and direct access to miles and miles of trails across state lands and the Carson National Forrest. We also border Eagle Nest Lake and river with world class trout and winter time ice fishing. Our single bedroom bed and breakfast is very private and available for daily, weekly, and monthly rental and perfect for skiers, hunters, fishermen, bird watchers, and equestrians. The views of Wheeler Peak in our photos are literally from the front porch and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it too!

Located between the Red River and Angel Fire ski resort’s along the “Enchanted Circle” portion of Highway 64, we are within minutes of these two major attractions, plus the Taos ski resort, the historic Pueblo reservation, Eagle Nest Lake, downtown Taos, and the interstate 25 corridor. With clean alpine air, mountain prairies, and the aspen trees, we are separated by only a few miles from the wild horses of New Mexico’s desert Mesa. This area was the location for many western’s like Lonesome Dove and the hit Netflix series Longmire because of having such a dramatic “wild, wild, west” landscape!

We are located about 15 min from Russellville in the peace and quite. On a beautiful, secluded, serene 54 acre ranch nestled at the base of Mt. Nebo.

We offer long term Pasture board, as well as temporary horse boarding for as little as a day to several weeks while you are away on business or vacation, etc.

We have several large stalls, some with run out or window for temporary boarder use only. Prices vary, there is sure to be something to fit your needs. Paddocks, & pasture. There are also wooded trails on the property, and more in the adjacent park. There is a pond on the property. Plus a shared pond we have use of half of it.

Excellent onsite care from the owner that is trained in natural horsemanship. We put the horse 1st, and do not use any force, fear or intimidation techniques dealing with horses.

I met Jewel Cousins in 2010 through the Parelli Natural Horsemanship member locator website. Jewel was new to the Area and wanted to find friends in the area that followed the Parelli program. Parelli Natural Horsemanship is a program that teaches people how understand horses and how they learn. By understanding how horses learn we can teach our horse to want to do what we ask without force. Jewel has embraced this program completely. She has taken several classes from Parelli instructors around the area and even has traveled to Parelli's main campus in Colorado.
In the summer of 2012 I needed to move two of my horses and I was having no luck getting them to load in the trailer. I asked Jewel to assist me in getting them loaded. Jewel committed to help me on the condition that she was going to do it the right (Parelli) way, with no force no matter how long it took. We could only work on loading the horses once a week, and it took several weeks but in the end both horses loaded into the trailer confidently when asked to and stood calmly. We closed the doors and drove around the field to see how they would react. We opened the doors and both horses were standing calmly looking at us.
I have the occasion to visit Jewel often. I love to watch her with her play with her horses off line. It is wonderful to watch her horses happily and confidently respond to her requests. It is obvious how much Jewel loves her horses and how much her horses love her.

We are a new facility 2 miles on the right past the Pottsville High School. 3 1/2 miles from I-40, great for layover boarding. We offer lessons, (from 2 different Instructors depending on your level of riding and style of riding), training and stall & pasture boarding. We have 10x12 and 10x15 stalls available, depending on your horses specific needs. All of the stalls have either a run-out or a large window. We have an average size roundpen and 96x180 arena (with Dressage letters). There are boarding/lesson packages, giving discounts. I am a ARIA Certified Riding Instructor and have a Show Team. Thoroughbred, Show Horse, & family friendly facility.

Our facility provides jumps, trail equipment, and a lower level cross country course. We will expand the course over time. Barrel/poles. We have nice trails leading to Galla Creek, which borders our property as well as the Wild Life refuge.

Our Colt Trainer- Lydia Carter, and Denise takes green horses and does specific discipline training (Jumping, Western pleasure, Dressage, Halter, exercise riding etc...)

We have nice schooling/show & trail horses that can start anyone.
Miranda Pearson is our other Instructor that takes our Beginner riders and our speed event rider's up to advanced level, and Saddleseat for Arabians, Morgans, and Saddlebreds.
There will be clinics, camps, or a farm show at AVRA once a month.

Our main barn has a Climate Controlled Office, feed (helping mold problems),and Tack (keeping bits warm in the winter months!)

Our arena will have lights in the next year and will be covered in the future!
We rent the facility out for Birthday Parties! There is a huge pond you can fish and paddleboat in as well.
