Welcome to a stress-free environment for horse and rider. Richlyn Farms is located at the end of a peaceful,quiet cul-de-sac road, yet in the heart of Wolcott.(10 min. to Southington, Bristol and Waterbury) Our barn's focus is providing excellent care for recreational, pleasure and trail riding individuals. We also care for retired horses. We have a 3 acre turn out to pasture(half of which is sunny/open and half shady/open area but w/protection of trees) we have a large, well lit outdoor arena and short on-site trails. Twice a day care is given to horse by a well versed horsewoman w/knowledge about dietary needs, physical needs and medical needs.(short/long term) She has great overall insight on all things horse related. We pride ourself on the consumption of locally grown hay and locally processed shavings.(for stalls) Stalls are matted and recently white-washed. We are in the throes of upgrading feed room, tack room, lounge and bathroom. Ridgeland Farms is a private facility. We have 10 stalls, Wash stall, private lockers, great viewing room overlooks our new 70x210 indoor riding arena that provides the most incredible atmosphere you feel like you always outdoors. We offer leases and lessons on our wonderful schoolmasters that are safe for all levels of riders. Some of our horses are schooled up to 3rd level dressage, and we also have horses that jump.

Our lesson programs have been designed to ensure each student develops a strong understanding of the fundamentals of riding and horsemanship. Each new rider will learn to handle, groom, tack up, and properly cool out and put away their own horse, along with equipment care and maintenance. Our goal is to make sure every rider can one day be fully independent.

In addition, our programs are set up to ensure success of the more intermediate and advanced riders. Our instructors focus heavily on goal setting. We allow each rider to set and think about their goals. We do not value show goals over other goals! We also do not require any of our students to show.
