New Horizons Farm LLC, home of New Horizons Haflinger Sporthorses on ten beautiful acres in Bath, Michigan, just outside of East Lansing is a private breeding farm which averages nine horses on premises including boarder horses. Stall board and pasture board available. Pasture horses have use of a stall during severe weather. Conveniently located just 3 1/2 miles off of Interstate 69 (Bath exit) on 1/2 mile stretch of paved road. Owner lives on premises and has over twenty years experience breeding, raising, showing horses. Multiple paddocks and pastures of varying sizes to meet your horse's needs, some with three and four board fence and others with coated wire/electric, almost all with large run in three sided sheds. Winter paddocks have extra large/extra tall 24 x 12 three sided steel run in sheds and access to automatic heated waterers. Ten stall horse barn with insulated roof has six 12 x 12 spacious, bright, matted stalls with large windows and four @10 x 12 stalls with windows that easily convert into double stalls for foaling. Attached 18 x 32 heated two story addition has tack/lounge area with a keuring coffee maker for those cold days, microwave and small refridgerator downstairs, and bedroom (for foaling season)/office upstairs. Horse friendly community with miles of dirt roads to ride on, or trailer your horse to Rose Lake riding trails just a few miles away, or Sleepy Hollow State Park riding trails about ten minutes away. Only twenty minutes from MSU, excellent farrier and vet services available. Spacious 60 x 110 indoor arena with excellent footing (2NS sand over limestone fines, compacted) treated for dust. Free horse trailer parking. Outdoor grass arena is approximately 70 x 200 with old footing from indoor under grass. Most paddocks and outdoor arena tiled for drainage so they stay dry. Excellent quality grass (or grass/alfalfa mix) hay fed. Tribute Essential K and owner provided grain and supplements fed. Pelleted bedding used in stalls except mare and foal stalls, which use straw at foaling time. No stallions, but mares and geldings welcome, including pregnant mares. Also a great situation if you are looking for a safe place to retire your horse. Horses turned out in small groups or private turnout possible. All horses receive top-notch individualized care.
