Blackshire is a full service Minnesota boarding, training, lesson, breeding and sales facility specializing in all breed competitive dressage as well as beginning jumping lessons. We offer quality lessons on amazing schooling horses including Friesians, Irish Draughts, Irish Sporthorses, Warmbloods (Trakhener, Selle Francais), Haflinger. If you are looking to learn dressage in a friendly yet competitive oriented atmosphere we attend many schooling and recognized dressage shows throughout the Midwest region every year. We offer box stall, paddock and pasture board (mare only pasture board) in large safe paddocks and pastures. In addition we offer stallion services from the two Friesian Stallions Zorro and Hessel; the 17.2H Approved Irish Draught stallion Beeston Laird and we will be introducing for 2013 the Holsteiner stallion Anthony (Alijano x Ranteres breeding). We have 9 horses of our own and each horse is treated the same as our own. We have a wide range of boarders from beginner riders to competitive dressage riders, western dressage, pleasure & trail riders. We are not strictly a show barn but do love to show! Our facility includes: 29 stall barn, 68x170 well lit indoor arena, out door, AC/Heated lounge,10x12 stalls with mats,window and electric (fans).individual tack lockers, wash bay, daily turn-out, hay fed 4x/day and grain is fed 2x/day. Individualized feeding. Several pastures so they are turned out in smaller groups. Allowing just a few pasture boarders so pastures and arena is not overcrowded. (8-10 pasture boarders)
Trainer on site teaching dressage, western or just confidence building. All ages,levels and breeds welcome!

Our stable is nestled next to 150 acres of privately owned horse trails which feature wooded areas, prairie, ponds and an abundant wildlife.
