Surprise Arizona is home to King's Victory Farms. We offer Horseback Riding Lessons, Horse Camp (July 11-15), and trail rides. Riding Lesson program participants are given riding instruction on a one-on-one basis or group setting. Introduction to Kings Victory Farms beginning horseback riding series is an hour and a half long. The class includes basic horse information, identification of riders skill level, review of the barn rules, an overview of our module program to track and develop the students riding ability, and of course riding time.

The beginning riding program consists of three modules. Each of these modules have three lessons. Students must complete the necessary accomplishments that are provided in the student tracking guide. Students must complete each modules before progressing to the next. With the completion of each module student riding time as well as riding area and responsibilities will increase. Students successfully completing the beginning program will have a half hour graduation performance with friends and family.

To advance to barrels or jumping, you must complete all three phase of our beginning program, and able to direct and handle horse to transition into each gait smoothly, gaits are walk, trot, and canter. Our lesson program is specifically designed to accommodate everyone from five years of age through adults, specializing in novice, timid or rusty riders. We offer classes in both English and Western as well as lunge line lessons in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
Our riding classes teach a broad range of skills from the basics of learning to comfortably ride all three gaits, to the more advanced techniques of western showmanship, horsemanship, western pleasure, trail, hunter under saddle and equitation for the all-around show ring. We have something for everyone and whether you're a seasoned rider or a newbie, we can teach even the most timid rider to be confident on a horse.

Welcome to Knot Quite A Ranch! We offer a program designed for students to learn all about horses, not just riding them. Our program offers a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to learn and practice equine skills. Students learn to get their horses, groom, tack, warm up, workout and cool them off. KQR’s goal is to teach students to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to safely work with horses from start to finish. The lessons plans include a wide range of skills from beginning to advanced. We include education in minor veterinary needs, anatomy, behavior, hoof care, tack & bit knowledge, and so much more!
Group lessons have three to four students in a class. Most students attend one class a week. We also offer private lessons for students desiring a more specific lesson plan. Children can begin ages 7 and up. We have Quarter Horses and Paint Horses that make an outstanding group of lesson mounts. Students rotate between the mounts to learn the various skills and challenges each has to offer for maximum learning ability.

We have Kaylie Surplus at $35 a lesson teaching up to PSG Dressage as well as riding and competing these levels! We also have Sarah Hepfner teaching lower levels of dressage, and up to GP Jumpers and hunters and riding and competing up to GP. We also offer beginner riding lessons!! Sarah's rates are $35/private and $30 for a group! Lesson package discounts also available!! Lesson horses also available!

Want to learn how to ride? Already have your own horse but want to build a better relationship with your horse? Have kids and need a fun, energetic instructor that will teach them properly while having a blast? I focus on centered, balanced riding that relates to almost all disciplines in the horse world. In my lessons you will learn how to handle the horse on the ground and under saddle. You will learn how to balance on the horse and you will learn how to control the horse using your hands, legs and seat. My goal is for you to have a fun time while learning how to communicate and better control your horse. I have an extensive background in showing and have done a lot of winning at a national level in Western and English. I have taken students from never riding before to winning in the show ring in just a few months. I teach western and english, barrel racing, trail riding, cow work and showing western and english pleasure. I have been teaching riding lessons for over 15 years and am very passionate about teaching people how to ride. You can either use one of my horses or you can bring your own. If you are having problems with your horse, I can help you tune them up and decide if they are workable or if it is just not the right fit for you. I teach western and english and offer basic riding lessons as well as show specific lessons for western pleasure, saddleseat, hunt seat, lower level dressage, Jumping, and barrels. I specialize in children, but also am great with helping adults who have had bad experiences get over their fears. My lesson horses are almost always for sale so if you fall in love with one of them while you are taking lessons you will have the opportuninty to purchase the horse. I also have limited lease to buy programs and offer serious students the option of showing my horses.
