Hangin' Saddle Ranch is a family owned and family friendly horse ranch located in Hidden Valley offering horse riding lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders teaching Western riding. As the schoolmaster, Glenn Hunter has over 40 years of experience with horses and has been working with them since he was a child himself. Both private and group horse riding lessons are available. Hangin' Saddle Ranch also offers horse boarding for $200/ month which includes choice of high quality Taff hay or relax pellets with feedings twice daily (thoroughbreds, draft, and other large breed horses may require feedings three times daily), use of the wash bay, use of tack and tack storage, fly masks, turn out into a lit arena, round pen, and regular rotation. We have long term relationships with our equine dentist for teeth floating and examinations, veterinarian for preventative and comprehensive care, and our farrier for hoof maintenance. Hangin' Saddle Ranch also offers short-term boarding for those traveling with their horses. Please call the ranch to discuss your needs for short-term boarding. Hangin' Saddle Ranch also offers colt starting and behavior training/ modification using the Natural Horse Method. Welcome to Knot Quite A Ranch! We offer a program designed for students to learn all about horses, not just riding them. Our program offers a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to learn and practice equine skills. Students learn to get their horses, groom, tack, warm up, workout and cool them off. KQR’s goal is to teach students to have the confidence and knowledge to be able to safely work with horses from start to finish. The lessons plans include a wide range of skills from beginning to advanced. We include education in minor veterinary needs, anatomy, behavior, hoof care, tack & bit knowledge, and so much more!
Group lessons have three to four students in a class. Most students attend one class a week. We also offer private lessons for students desiring a more specific lesson plan. Children can begin ages 7 and up. We have Quarter Horses and Paint Horses that make an outstanding group of lesson mounts. Students rotate between the mounts to learn the various skills and challenges each has to offer for maximum learning ability.
