Here at Hard Knox Horse Academy, we offer horse boarding, training, starting and conditioning of almost any discipline. We also have available, after school programs with lesson curriculum, as well as horse day camps, two day camps and summer horse camps. Personally I pride myself on having been taught top to bottom, from cleaning stalls and horse& barn safety to grooming, saddling and unsaddling to arena&rail etiquette when riding with others. I teach my lesson clients the same techniques and knowledge as if they were going to get their own horse one day! We also offer horse birthday partie. I'm currently taking on NEW clients in the gold country area. I offer lessons, horsemanship under saddle and on the flat, training, starting, ground training, and handler/owner/rider horsemanship training clinics as well as exercising, and equine management. Prices range from $10-$40 depending on the service and I offer discounts or group lessons and boarding barns! I am a mobile trainer but am working on getting our insurance set up for our home farm to start taking on, on site clients as well!

Tons of refrences avalible! Experienced in english, western, Arab/Quarter halter, combined training, pleasure, equitation, and hunters. Trained and train with many well known local people. I offer a unique approach with students focusing on balance, communication, light and confident riding, in a stress free manner. My training program is very simular, I focus on the horse and owner/handler/rider as a team and while I am working with the horse often times 101 I ALWAYS include a short lesson at the end where the owner/handler/trainer is able to learn my meathods inabling a better relationship between them and the horse. All throught the training sessions I take the time to carefully explain why I'm doing what I am and how it's effecting the horse. I use a method of my own and a blended method of regular and natural horsemanship.

Yasmin Emery-Brownlie, owner and trainer, is a California native whose involvement
with horses spans nearly 40 years. She attended college and graduate schools on the East Coast while also spending nine years training with Olympic veteran and coach George H. Morris. She has worked at numerous show barns and participated in show jumping competitions throughout the US and Canada. She was the owner and trainer at South Lake equestrian in El Dorado Hills. The Windsong Lesson Program is dedicated to teaching children and adults to ride in the English disipline, essential horsemanship style with skills & safety. Ryan Oropeza became a professional after obtaining his degrees from UC Davis where he received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Biotechnology with an emphasis in Animal Science. While obtaining his dual degrees, he worked as a barn supervisor and mentor instructor for the UC Davis Equestrian Center.

In 2007, he took on his newest role as coach to the UC Davis equestrian team while fully maintaining his cliental. Ryan has worked with many respected A-circuit professionals in Northern California. His riding background represents an eclectic mix from all avenues of the horse world, from Hunters, Equitation, Show Jumping to Eventing, and Dressage.
