Fortitude Farm offers a horse riding lesson program that is unique to the metro Atlanta area and located in the heart of Alpharetta Ga. We offer lessons 7 days a week, and have 4 different professional, fun, and SAFE riding instructors to choose from.

We are an English - Hunter- Jumper facility, however we have alliances to other dressage and western pleasure trainers.

We have a very family friendly atmosphere, and a relaxed "feel" even though we attend horse shows. There is no pressure to show, we welcome riders of ALL levels and aspirations!

Hi there! I'm a Dressage Rider, Trainer, L Judge and clinician. I am an USDF Bronze & Silver medalist and also an L Program Graduate with Distinction and working on my USEF little r application. I do lots of types of clinics - Ride a Test, Western dressage, Pony Club, etc. I have a pretty unique style in that I work with riders on the ground to get body awareness as I'm also a AFAA certified fitness professional and then work on their position to see how they can influence their horse correctly, kindly and classically without fighting or frustration. Riding is supposed to be FUN! I help riders who want to show find those savvy points they are missing as well as polish the strengths of their horse and maintain the quality of the gaits to present an oh so very lovely picture to the judge. Over 35 years' experience in the equestrian industry, 14 years as a professional. I believe that riding should be fun and safe. I was taught by many wonderful trainers like; Berry Lane, Linda Allen, Daniel Geitner, and more. My focus is to ensure the rider has a strong and balanced leg, seat, and upper body. I believe it's how you ride between the jumps that matter.
I emphasize the importance of understanding the reasoning behind techniques, rather than just instructing what to do. By explaining the "why" and the expected outcomes, I help riders piece together their skills more effectively. I ensure that neither my riders nor their horses are rushed or pushed beyond their limits. Advancement occurs when they are mentally and physically prepared, fostering a supportive and progressive learning environment.

I only offer private or semi private lessons. However, in the beginning I want a rider in a private setting so I can understand them and the rider can learn how I teach. Beginner riders are only private lessons, for their safety.
